I havent had time to really hear it all but here it is http://patterico.com/2012/10/03/new...hy-wouldnt-they-be-theyve-got-what-they-want/ Transcript: The philosophy of nonviolence only makes sense if the powerful can be made to recognize themselves in the powerless. It only makes sense if the powerless can be made to recognize themselves in the powerful. You know, the principle of empathy gives broader meaning, by the way, to Dr. Kings philosophy of nonviolence. I dont know if youve noticed, but rich people are all for nonviolence. Why wouldnt they be? Theyve got what they want. They want to make sure people dont take their stuff. But the principle of empathy recognizes that there are more subtle forms of violence to which we are answerable. The spirit of empathy condemns not only the use of firehoses and attack dogs to keep people down but also accountants and tax loopholes to keep people down. Im not saying that what Enron executives did to their employees is the moral equivalent of what Bull Connor did to black folks, but Ill tell you what, the employees at Enron feel violated. When a company town sees its plant closing because some distant executives made some decision despite the wage concessions, despite the tax breaks, and they see their entire economy collapsing, they feel violence . . . Just sounds like more "class warfare" innuendo...
Class warfare was when the Leninists rabble-roused the proletariat (poor) into overthrowing the Romanov (wealthy) Monarchists (in 1917 the Kaiser sought to relieve forces on the Eastern Front to the Western Front so he allowed safe-passage of Lenin-in-exile back into Russia to cause turmoil) .... or ... Maoists running around in China waving-around little redbooks quiping in 5-year plans calling for the beheading of anybody that doesn't conform ... Class warfare here in America is business as usual ... buncha racissss running around in racissss rants brandishing firearms as is thier 1st & 2nd Amendment Rights ... no genocides no political mass-murders no assasinations causing political upheavel .... nothing much has changed since the Civil War ... That's why conservatives are going backwards now ... the tea party turned-out to be nothing more than a high-treason affront to Democracy ... yes 8th Century Taliban is what they are now ...
No it isn't and if these villains don't stop coming out with these inconvenient videos of Obama that display apparent racism/race baiting, it could turn out to hurt his reelection chances!!!!!!!!! Oh, woe is O! Woe is O!
Conservative AREN'T going backwards. Republicans are going backwards, though not QUITE as fast as Liberals or Democrats. And the Tea Party is the best, most balanced, common sense and fair party that we've seen in many years. Are you a man or a woman?
What are you implying???? She/he is not a bigot. She/he is a purposefully mindless uber-partisan. There IS a difference, you know.
No, "Thanks I needed that" is from the Skin Bracer commercial where he gets slapped in the face with something that wasn't happening for him until then. And you're welcome and I hope the slap didn't smart (not that a guy couldn't USE 'smart', ya know?
So now empathy is a socialist plot? Calling for people to be socially responsible is socialist? Pointing out that the very definition of "society" is people acting in the common good is socialist? Then I guess civilization itself is socialist. There is nothing in that statement by Obama that is a) untrue or b) radical.
Nope. Obama was rich in 2002. He's a pandering, narcissistic, condescending, placater - or better yet, a politician. Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and the big banks of this country loved him in 2008. He was fine with their money then. How many exploiting banking execs did he prosecute in 4 years? ZERO.
