If Trump fires Rosenstein Trump had better hope that all the polls are wrong, and that his move won't move his critics at all. Otherwise, he will be facing a Democratic house, and possibily a Democratic Senate.

If Trump fires Rosenstein as a way to shut down the Mueller probe, he will be setting up his own impeachment. And the odds of impeachment will go from unlikely to virtual certainty.

His obstruction of justice will put Nixon's Saturday Night Massacre to shame.
