This site is a platform. When the MODs decide to editorialize, it becomes a publisher and loses its public platform status.

You realize that same laws protecting Twitter also protect Political Forum, right?
There are numerous people on this site who many might feel are antagonistic to their perfect ideal of "America".
Who gets to decide what can be posted on this private web site? You? The government?

Probably not, I lean more left than right. Most on the left here are so far left, they have no idea what centrist really is. Some can't even sift the truth through the fake news and false narrative because Party > Country. The goal should be neutral, not censorship for one group over another.

    Please.
I'll think twice about accepting such lines of "thought" from someone who thinks Twitter is a TV station.

People are just trying to be civil by using the least offensive adjectives to describe the ______ ______ ______ _____ ______ _____ ______ _______ _______ ________ ________ _________ ________ _________ ________ ________ in the White House because they are on a public forum that limits speech. In a personal conversation you might learn some new curse phrases to describe him.

We have posts that get deleted on this site everyday.
The MODs have that authority because the private company that runs this site is protected by the same laws that
    protect Twitter.
Do you want that law to change?

This the lawsuit we've been waiting for.

It will change Facebook, Twitter, Google - the lot of them.

    Me so happy.

They contradict what other people are saying (as is their right).
They delete posts they that don't meet the criteria set forth by the owners of the web site.

The same laws that protect Political Forum protect Twitter. Do you want that to change?

So much for Republicans wanting LESS government control of private business ...
guess that turned out to be inconvenient.

and does this Political Forum fact check our post?
this Forum has the authority to delete post what violate thier rules and hand out bans to those that break the rules what they dont have is the authority to editorialize on the forum
they can if they want but they stop being a forum and become an editorial losing its immunity from liable

You seem to not understand this tensie little thing called context. There really is a difference between hosting vs curating or publishing. I don't doubt it is confusing for you. The point of the conversation with twitter is their willingness to engage in ideological proactiveness. When the practice of curating the content becomes the norm, that becomes editorializing, not free speech. At that point, regulating say the bandwidth or the priority of the service on the inter webs was a concept you actually advocated for as a function of government. We can pull the conversations should you need reminding.

I suggest that for Twitter to embrace the death to america crowd and not enforce their own TOS against those users but attacking the content of others is an inherently different conversation, and should be viewed in the context and lens of protecting the nation against it's unfettered use in this country. Do you not? Or are you a firm believer in only pubishing the content you agree with, and screw everyone else? Is that the case?

    Warning label <> censor.

Also, Trump violated the TOS countless times now. His account should be terminated. That wouldn't really be censorship either.

The idea that you don't understand gross communication in any of its variants isn't a surprise to me, or frankly anyone who reads your posts. I don't suppose you understand how cellular data is provided, and I'm quite sure you don't understand how wireless networks are broadcast either. For you, it's a trash 80 with a 24 baud modem. right comrade?

That will become a very grey area if the laws protecting Twitter are challenged.

Legally they can't claim to be a platform anymore. They must now be labelled a publisher which opens them up to a lot of issues as far as lawsuits in the future. Platforms are not liable for content, publishers are. They may have sounded their own death knell.

Trump's fans don't really care if they destroy sites like this one. They would rather have fully open dark web sites that would disgust the average person.

That would have to be proven in court if the laws protecting Twitter are thrown out. It opens the door for thousands of
slander lawsuits - and we know that if a lawyer sees a crack, they'll jump right in.

The nature of my statement remains the same.

And please, I can curse anyone in English, Russian, Polish, Czech, Bokmål, and German. I don't need to learn anymore.

Fake news and selective censoring is causing great damage to this country.
