Why is the 24hr FAA shutdown of our airports a few months back not talked about, but Bridgegate can be a lead story for months on end? The FAA shutdown was a much wider, and federal display of government power. And please don't tell me it was because of the government shutdown that the FAA couldn't figure out their finances for 24hrs, in retrospect, it is clear that the government intentionally shut down our airports during the government shutdown arguments. Thoughts besides the FAA had a 24 hour financial crisis that they heroically solved before Monday?
Making the people hurt is the best way to get the gravy going again. That is why they don't scale back hours or cut waste, they cut services people will feel. That is why they need to be replaced with private companies we can fire rather then bureaucratic fiefdoms like we have now. ICE released a bunch of illgela immigrants too but kep up paying their enforcement officers and equiemt purchases. Why? A big screw you to the taxpayer. These people need to be reminded who they work for and if they don't like it they can be fired.
do you really need to ask? It's not about whether or not a traffic jam was a big deal or if Christie knew anything about it. Some polls had Christie defeating Hillary in 2016. So, the media needed to get to work. Now, the avg uninformed voter has no idea of what "bridgegate" was about but, they now know that Christie is a bad man.
