You jump into a discussion without bothering to find out what it's about? We were debating a HYPOTHETICAL that the poster brought up: "..a complete outlawing of gun ownership." "Complete" would mean you CAN'T have a firearm in your residency. But, then again, it's just a hypothetical.

Completely outlawing gun ownership sounds good to me... I have said this many times.

    YOU said:
I responded: "A complete outlawing of gun ownership would DEFINITELY work to reduce the number of gun-related deaths. "
    Thus, I asked YOU:
-How do you plan to confiscate all of the ~423,000,000 existing guns in the US?
-How may people will die as a result of the wholesale confiscation of firearms across the US?
-How is that cost worth the benefit you claim, especially taking into consideration the items you do not account for, above?
    Well?

I am well aware of your anti-American position on gun ownership. Fortunately for the rest of us, what you would like to do is quite illegal.

If that is true (I don't recall) then my answer would have been "who said anything about confiscating"?

in post 151 you said "outllawing" which means you don't understand how the law works.

If you outlaw guns, and you do not confiscate them, then outlawing them has no effect as the guns remain in circulation.
If that's the the case, then outlawing guns will do --nothing-- to "work to reduce the number of gun-related deaths".
    So, again:
-How do you plan to confiscate all of the ~423,000,000 existing guns in the US?
-How may people will die as a result of the wholesale confiscation of firearms across the US?
-How is that cost worth the benefit you claim, especially taking into consideration the items you do not account for, above?

As it It took you a long time to research the validity of you arguments, you should have no issue addressing these questions.

There was a thread I opened some time ago (a couple of years, maybe?) explaining how to accomplish this with NO confiscation of a single gun currently in circulation. You can look it up. Or you can stick around. I might open another one one of these days. Probably not soon, though.

Thank you for your demonstration that you are fully aware of the fact you cannot meaningfully address the questions I asked.

Had you taken the time to research the validity of you argument, as you claim. you'd have the answers.

    Thus, your claim...
"A complete outlawing of gun ownership would DEFINITELY work to reduce the number of gun-related deaths. "
... is shown to be complete and utter nonsense.
