Imagine if our truck drivers everywhere took a another alternative- they just parked those trucks. All of them, and issued a mandate: When you drop your mandate, we will drop ours.
Power and unity go together. The police could do the same thing. An entire city police force quits en-masse, or just refuses to work.
Anytime governments become unresponsive to public concerns, the most likely result is that the ante will be raised.
IF either of the two above were to happen, the entire public would be affected and become unified in their own best interest.
IF government did not respond to their message, the ante would be raised again. Then- again.
Things tend to get ugly when people who are given power to work for the public stops listening to the public.

 

They also desecrated a war statue and are refusing to wear masks in stores/restaurants. On top of that, they are limiting the free movement of the citizens of that city. They're losing support quickly...

 

The opposite is true- the trucker support is growing. Donations to continue it coming in.
Trudeau- went into hiding.
Elon Musk is offering to support the truckers; says Trudeau is the real threat to democracy.
The province of Nova Scotia has proclaimed that people gathering along the highway to show support- are criminals, subject to fines... as in. peaceful protest they don't agree with is criminal. Upping the ante- with illegal or at least immoral actions.... trying to suppress expressions of support they don't like.

This condition is one brought about not by the truckers, but by the government ignoring the public's position and needs, imposing their personal will on the public- against the public will.
That is fundamentally wrong in any nation, and can only lead to conflict.
Governments that dictate when the case and support for it are highly questionable are bullying- for the purpose of control over people, and that IS NOT their proper role.

Everyone's freedom is at stake here- including yours.

 

Those truckers should be spending their time to training for a new career field instead of whining about vaccine mandates. They will be obsolete in 10 years.

 

Let's tell them that, and that they all should park and disable their trucks right now so they can start training.
