    Why not?

And none was meant. I appreciate your perspective even though I don't agree.

Gotta agree with that. (in red)....Once the die is cast, the outcome is always predictable.

As I understand, ones sex is determined by the sperm which fertilizes the egg. If the sperm carries the X chromosome the result is a female, while a sperm carrying the Y chromosome results in a male. Ones sexuality, i.e. sexual orientation/preference/etc. is not determined by the X or Y chromosome, but 'may' in some cases be a DNA determinant.

Probably.....but the errant is typically shunted in favor of continuation of the species which has been, up until now, males and females joining sexually to create a family unit.

Sexuality comes from mind and body. And can change according to environment and mental...practice. If you were in a man only prison I'm pretty confident your mind would reframe sexuality to fit the circumstances. The mind is a powerful thing and easily influenced.

No it's not. One can be neither repulsed nor attracted to something.

Money can make a person willing to do something they might not do for free.

    Different definitions.
    Thank you.
To torture the metaphor, the proverbial die if meant to make nails doesn't have a proclivity to nails.

    I like the metaphor.

I disagree. If one is not attracted to something having sex with it would be repulsive.

    So?

This is what I said. Your orientation is which sex you are attracted to. We all have the capability to engage with either sex for sexual activities. Usually we have only one that attracts us for such activities.

Most don't but there are still plenty who do so for purposes other than attraction or desire. Homosexuals of both sexes have been known to engage in straight sex with each other for the purposes of procreation. Sometimes if both of each couple are willing, both men will bed both women, in order to increase their odds of conception. Neither set desires the other. They are doing it because it is a means to a child.

Not necessarily. As noted people will do lots of things they don't desire to, if the money is high enough.

So to make sure that I understand you, if a person has sex with another person, for whatever reason, then they must be attracted to that person?

We all have the capability eating human flesh. Well that doesn't mean it wouldn't repulse me.

I disagree straight men don't have sex with other men that's what gay and bisexual men do.

    So?
again we all are capable of eating human flesh that doesn't mean that doesn't repulse us

no. If one has sex with someone they aren't attracted to odds are there repulsed by it.

You're not making your point by continuing to say this. There might be enough money in the world to convince a person to eat dog feces that doesn't mean they're not repulsed by it.

You're not making your point by simply continuing to say it. People can do things while being neither repulsed nor attracted to it. But you're right. My last argument there didn't really address my point.
Right here you say, "odds are", which indicates that they may not be repulsed by having sex with someone they aren't attracted to. I am not going to disagee that the vast majority would be repulsed by even the idea of sex with someone not of their orientation. But there are still plenty who are not repulsed either by the thought of it nor even by the act. But neither are they attracted to it. Are they the exception to the rule? Sure, but then so is left handedness.

I explained my point. All you're saying is you can motivate people to look beyond their disgust with money. That doesn't nullify it.

And if that includes being with either sex you are talking about a bisexual person.

Or they are lying to themselves about being attracted.
I would say a statistical 100% fall into that category
    Prove it.

I don't believe these unicorns exist. Nothing you have presented even remotely hints at this being true.

No they aren't because they are doing it for the money. Duh. People have sex with people they aren't attracted to all the time.

No, not being repulsed by someone is not attraction. Have you ever been "attracted" to someone before? It's certainly more than than "not feeling repulsed" by the person.

So let me get this straight. You are saying that everything that a person does, that they are not disgusted by they are attracted to?

And to focus on this point let me repeat you:
To this point, everything I have been talking about have been on the concept of subjective values. Whether something is disgusting or attractive or neither or both, is something that is subjective to a person and not objective. Now you are claiming that a objective statistical 100% of the people who are not disgusted with having sex with a given person is then attracted to them. Then it should be no problem for you to produce such statistical data to show its 100%. I understand that you are asking me to support my claim (and of course that our have yet to support yours by anything greater than the support I have shown so far), but at no point have I made any such concrete claims. Nor can one on a subjective value point short of a study on the topic.

Now I understand that you believe that people are either outright lying (but to what purpose?) or maybe lying to themselves. But unless you can show evidence counter to a person's claim that something they do neither attracts o rather disgusts them, then we can only assume they are being truthful.

So here is an example. My spouses and I are in the BDSM lifestyle. My one wife likes spankings (among other things). Me? Eh. It doesn't bother me, so I am not disgusted or replused by it. But neither does it do anything for me, so I am not attracted by it either. I do it not because of my attraction to spankings, but because of her enjoyment of them, and I derive my pleasure from her enjoyment. But according to you, I either actually am attracted to this activity or I do it despite being disgusted by it.

For some reason, you believe that a person cannot do an activity without being either disgusted/repulsed by it or attracted to it. Now if this is not what you are saying then you need to better word your argument, but that is what is coming across, and I am not the only one to note such, such as ChrisL.

So, anyone who goes to jail or joins the army comes out being gay? Lols, that would be kind of funny.

I do not believe in that kind of thing, "gay for the stay"...lol. Prisoners who have sex (read rape) with one and other are not doing it out of sexual attraction, but rather to show who is the alpha. It is a power/dominance thingy.

Let's not forget about drugs and alcohol. Those tend to loosen some people's inhibitions about such things.

And there are men who sleep with old rich women too (or young women with old men), and I've seen the same thing with gay couples. A very young gay male with a very much older gay male. Yup, some people will do anything for money. Doesn't seem to bother them too much.
