I could understand that definition, but then I wonder why is so much anger directed towards the government?

That would require a nuanced answer; an answer which I might not be able to produce fully or properly.

But I'd say policies like mandatory minimums for crack offenses as opposed to cocaine offenses are inherently unfair and not only appear to target poorer, minority communities, but are even more problematic considering there have been many sons and daughters of politicians that supported/passed mandatory minimum laws that turned out to have committed drug crimes that require a mandatory minimum but did not receive a mandatory minimum sentence - http://www.candoclemency.com/list-o...ted-for-drugs-who-received-special-treatment/.

I'd also say the police are the frontline of government power over its citizens. And I think it's fairly clear, whatever your political stripe, that minorities have a different experience with police than whites.

Those are two off the top of my head; perhaps there are those who could argue a more complete and educated position, but that's what I've got now - and I don't claim to be anywhere near an expert in this matter, not even a confident amateur if I'm being honest with myself. I just tried to give my take on what I believe to be white privilege and that I do see it as an uncomfortable reality of American life.

You're at least 10 years out of date. Probably more.

Does any of that - my bolded - apply to Chinese doctors in America? Or Indian CEOs?

    This teacher is an idiot.

NE Asian and Indian students (in the west) have zero problems not only 'navigating' and 'being heard', but also in excelling - considerably beyond their white peers.

"White privilege"...? Total BULLSHIT! For much of my White childhood, we were poor as church mice, and way back then there weren't a dozen big government welfare programs being shoveled at anybody, of any color.

Think: this nation very correctly adopted the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965 WELL OVER 50 YEARS AGO! We are all equal before the law!

Uh, except for the fact that the government still has reverse-discrimination programs that deliberately favor BLACKS in things ranging from college admission to qualifying for the award of Federal Government Contracts! "White privilege"...? What a pantload of crap!
