Good question. A president that was twice elected with popular majorities and completed his two terms with 60% approval is a hard act to follow. Meanwhile, there is at least one Republican in Alabama whom the state GOP isn't pushing as the next Roy Moore:
I'll bet Republicans would worship and defend Roy Moore if he were president, too. Buncha deplorables.
That's a flat out lie. You have absolutely NO evidence that anyone paid a prostitute or anyone else to make phony claims against him. It looks like his creepy past just caught up to him like it did with Bill Cosby and Harvey Weinstein. Fortunately for him, the statute of limitations ran out or his ignorant hick child molesting ass would be in jail. Wasn't your GOP governor just tossed out of office for sexual misconduct a little while ago? What the hell are you guys running down there at the Alabama GOP? Some kind of pervert mill? I noticed that you did not address the fact that Moore was thrown off two benches including the Alabama Supreme Court for ignoring and deliberately breaking the law. What kind of morons would nominate a guy like that for a national position? Jeeezzz
I didn't say against Moore I said against a candidate for LT. Governor so withdraw your assertion what I states was a lie. I have opposed Moore every time he has run for office even voting Democratic against him. And you seem oblivious to the fact that these allegations, still unproven, ONLY came out AFTER he won the nomination and AFTER the date the GOP could have and would have replaced him. And yes Bentley got caught up in a sex scandal and had to step down. That effected the Senate special election primary. There was a whole slew of candidates and it got down to a run off between Moore and Strange neither with a huge plurality. The reason people held their noses and voted for Moore, not me, was because Strange was tied up in the Bentley scandal and a belief he had let Bentley off easy I return for his appointment to state attorney general. So it wasn't that Moore had some great support. The state GOP never ever wanted Moore to be the candidate.
Because they definitely worship Trump who is the biggest horses ass in US political history with over 20 allegations of sexual misconduct against him and his admission of being a pu$$y grabber. All of these same hypocrites were all aghast when Clinton was accused of diddling his intern and his affair with Gennifer Flowers. I guess if Clinton had the money and a thug lawyer like Michael Cohen who could threaten and pay off those broads, it would have been fine with them. You guys are a riot!!
I can't think of two greater opposites between Trump and Moore. And Clinton's scandal was about his perjury and obstruction of justice and abusing his political power to obtain sexual favor while at the sametime sexually assaulting and harassing subordinate government workers. Do you even know what the Flowers scandal was all about, it wasn't just the sex. It seems to have gone over your head the Moore did not get the support of the GOP here.
He sure as hell won the primary. Did the Democrats vote him in? The Republican Party has lost all credibility and has absolutely NO moral authority. I always suspected that these holier than thou so called Christian conservatives were a bunch of phony creeps. My supposition has been confirmed in spades. Cheers
Yes BEFORE the allegations were made what don't you understand here? And he won because the OTHER candidate was tied to the Bentley sex scandal, you really don't know what you are talking about here.
