In the news black students in Mo want a place at the college for just black students where they can feel "safe".

IMO this is the dumbest thing ever. This is little more than self induced segregation!!!!!! Do they really want to go back to 1955????

The Civil Rights movement was just about increasing their own power and influence as a group. I don't believe they ever truly wanted to integrate with white American society.

It's the 1960's all over again. We are witnessing a rash of meaningless protests and like the 60s it'll fade, they'll grow up and watch their kids do stupid things. My only fear is that they'll self destruct. Obama has all but erased all of the good that came out of the Civil Rights Movement. All of his divisive race baiting and promoting things like BLM can only harm Black America it's certainly poisoning a lot of young black minds.

Kind of ironic ... here we have an entire nation of conservatives wanting a place just for white conservatives so they can feel safe from the
"others" and those same conservatives are making fun of black people for wanting a safe place. Whatever.

It's just a fad. Nothing to worry about. College kids have always had their fads. It's a part of college routine.

You think that the protests of the 60's were meaningless?

But the point here is these black students want to self segregate. It is totally opposed to what MLK wanted.

Funny that liberals live in the most segregated areas in the country, like New England. You see liberals want diversity but not in their own neighborhoods.

Actually no one of significance is advocating a white only nation. The Kkk is not significant so your argument is a straw man.

The disturbing thing is what safe spaces really apply to. Many colleges and universities in the US and Canada are advocating and providing safe spaces these spaces are not about safety from harm or danger. They are strictly about protection from ideas thoughts and expressions which select people find offensive. In other words they are echo chambers where no one will hear a dissenting view.

This of course undermines the very heart of what higher education is about.

One cannot learn unless one is exposed to new ideas and thoughts which one has never heard of. Along the way every individual will come across ideas which are challenging and/or offensive. The entire idea of higher education is to critically think of as many such ideas as possible and judge each according to its merits. College is and should be about learning how to think and not so much what to think.

But the regressive left wingers cannot allow this and must suppress any independent exercise in thinking and provide safe places for indoctrination with no dissent permitted. That way as education continues to decline as it has been for decades bernie sanders and other abominable bastards can demand trillions in educational funds to provide " free " education ( indoctrination ) for their future brainwashed robots ( voters ).

Everyone segregates themselves and has every right to do so .

Yes I advocate segregation. And a legally binding separation of segregation and state.

I know that you know you're fighting a losing battle there, in terms of legally binding segregation. As it is part of the underdog mentality of people who lean right.

I agree that people do self segregate and have the right to do so if they shall please.

You are ignorant of what I know.

So I guess you support government dictating integration or segregation others since you seem to imply it is a lost cause.

I'm not for the government forcing me or anyone else to do anything. I know the government has no right to enforce such discrimination like segregation. I know that all people are created equally, and that a man should not be judged by the color of his skin, but by the content of their person.

The KKK is back again, this time in a new guise.

The Klan with a Tan, aka BLM.
