    Well I voted. Y'all?

It looks like the Liberals will probably win unless something drastically changed in the last 24 hours, or Canadians get their stereotypical cold feet and just vote to keep the status quo because this country has never met a good idea liked). However, it's unlikely to be a majority, so in fact if you're NDP you're getting more out of this since everything such a government passes will be titled farther left to satisfy Tom Mulcair. It's the Conservatives who will probably get screwed here.

I hate Stephen Harper but that said I DO understand why so many Canadians vote Conservative. I get frustrated that they do, to be sure (again: never met a good idea we liked), but I too am not such a fan of the NDP's plans to turn us into Sweden, I'd rather not have that either.

If you're curious about why I voted the way I did or want to talk about the election, this here's where to do it.

The guy at the poll desk today was left handed. I've become good at spotting my brethren.

I wouldn't worry about becoming sweden-like... I'd worry about becoming american-like... when americans finally start to take a page from the mexican illegal immigrant book, and cross over to reap all the benefits your system will have in place for us! as we leave our own destitute and awful country for greener, well snowier, pastures...

thats what I would worry about, making it too good, so good that americans leave america and head for you...

I was following on CBC website, very good coverage. Grits won and Trudeau will be the new PM.

Who cares? We're not Canadians. Their health care system is imploding (as is ours now for following a failed model).

More Canadians working in the US than there are Americans in Canada. Don't worry. BTW, Canadians are pretty much American anyway since you have all the same things, drive the same cars, etc.. You'all just think you are better.

Trudeau is in and promises to spend more AND reduce the debt ratio based on being more awesome.

Better? I'd say simply different in attitude and perspective.

What has been proven in this election is that most Canadians rejected "American style" political tactics.
The negative personal attack strategy and the politics of fear as waged by the Conservatives, failed rather dramatically.

It was an historic Liberal win. It remains to be seen what Trudeau does with it.

The leftist Trudeau is for the pipeline, making it impossible for Obama to continue his foolish spin that it's a "greedy plot by big business to profit at the expense of the environment".

    Obama is an absolute idiot.

I always find it when a liberal from one country, supports something a liberal in another country opposes... and the things they say completely conflict with each other...
