    AJ Trudeau only had enough votes to get elected PM but not enough to have any significance over Truckers nation wide.

    Ottowa is just a microcosm of what's happening across Canada and the provinces are dropping mandates.

    I haven't been keeping up but I wonder if the ones opposed to the mandates didn't get vaccinated for school or have their kids vaccinated for school. I was under the impression they were mandatory. In fact, when I couldn't produce my childhood vaccination records, my university refused to allow me to graduate until I got them all again.

    The truckers seem to think so. Stupid mandates by stupid people can be fixed.
    The SCOTUS fixed stupid as well. They couldn't fix Biden but they fixed his stupid mandates.

    I think were starting to see the future of protests, blocking traffic for weeks on end - both sides get upset a lot, is this really what we want?

    You can erase the UK from your list.
    Bozo has promised to lift all restrictions concerning Covid by the end of February. The 23rd I think.

    Due to his precarious position brought about by the almost universal distaste of him and him cronies due to his and their partying on as never before during the Covid lockdown, it may be a desperate ploy to prevent the downfall of his government.
    However it remains to be seen if he has compounded his mistakes or not. The stats will decide.

    it's not about a mandate, it's about trying to destroy the economy under the other guy

    that fact that all these things happen worldwide, just shows how some group of people is using social medial to manipulate populations of people

    I follow UK news quite closely and I have never seen or heard of this Canadian protest being copycatted anywhere in the UK. At best it is down the list of items in the UK media's international spots.
    Lifting the restrictions in the UK hasn't followed the usual "we follow science" because no scientist has supported such a move.
    It is purely Bozo's trying to look like a singular man with the crystal ball who will lead the country to once again being "first in the world" as he keeps repeating about the vaccine rollout. So instead of Bollinger bottles during quiz afternoon lockdowns, he will be the essential global leader in foresight and audacity.
    The desperation stinks.

    Russia organized this as they upset them over their support for Ukraine

    and while I put down Russia for doing this, I know the USA does it to other countries too

    some people are sheep, and as long as they act like sheep, foreign governments will try to manipulate them
