Among many other things http://www.bbc.com/news/health-35484933 And it looks like he may well be on the way to eradication Which raises a few issues What did bush and Reagan work on after their presidency?. Is carter really so misguided and in effective... Given that he brokered the peace between israel and egypt. Among a long list of other things carter did

I see no problem with prior world leaders working to improve the lives of people much less fortunate then them, and anyone who does ought to be restricted from voting.
Carter's been a great former President. In terms of the peace between Israel and Egypt, the Obama administration did their best to destroy it by encouraging the Arab Spring. Thankfully, Egypt was taken back from the Islamists by the Egyptian military. Reagan didn't do much after the Presidency--he was older than Carter, and was getting dementia. The Bushes (both of them) are involved in philanthropic work. They aren't getting rich off of speeches.

Former President Carter Highlights Success in Guinea Worm Eradication January 12, 2017 — When former President Jimmy Carter announced he was battling cancer in an August 2015 news conference at his Atlanta-based nonprofit Carter Center, he shared that one of his hopes was that the last Guinea worm would be eradicated before he died. Carter is a great man who would have made a great president during peaceful years. A fair amount of what happened under his watch was out of his control, like the Islamic revolution in Iran which was in response to decades of rule by the western supported Shah. I loved that he put solar panels on the White House and thought it was incredibly childish of Reagan to take them down and I'm glad that Obama had them reinstalled during his terms. Solar power doesn't have to replace fossil fuels in order for it to be a good idea to promote and utilize. Daily free energy from the sun? Good lord, how are we not doing this everywhere!
Reagan didn't order them taken down as a political action. They were taken down when repairs on the White House roof were done during Reagan's second terms. They weren't saving enough money to be worthwhile reinstalling. They were not photovoltaics, but were for heating hot water. Interestingly, GW Bush had solar installed on the White House grounds, not the Clintons. Yes, Obama put solar panels on the White House roof, but they weren't the same panels that were on the Carter White House. GW Bush was the first to install photovoltaics. Interestingly, his house in Crawford Texas had a lot of state of the art energy saving features (the opposite of Al Gore's new house in Nashville), including passive solarand geothermal heating/cooling. https://www.theatlantic.com/technol...ut-solar-panels-on-the-white-house-too/64151/ http://www.nytimes.com/1986/08/24/us/white-house-will-not-replace-solar-water-heating-system.html
