It's known that there are tens of thousands of variants of SARS exist in the bat population.

And, it's known that SARS has moved into the human population on a number of occasions, not just the last two times.

There really is no better place for addressing SARS issues than the location of the lab in China. We should have a close relationship with that lab. After all, even your fears of weapons creation get reduced by having a close relationship there.

The work we and the world needs done in that lab is the same as the work being done in Africa related to Ebola and other zoonotic diseases there.

Again, the bottom line is that we need a CLOSER relationship with China and the Wuhan lab, which is the center of knowledge concerning SARS, the reservoirs of that virus, the modes of contact with humans, etc.

China is not open with its info on most topics. So, it's not surprising that they were closed on the topic of COVID for longer than they should have been.

BUT, the US reaction was EXACTLY what China could not tolerate. The USA closed China to further cooperation on this issue.

Our government chose to make China the evil villain in this story. That closed off the possibility of cooperation on this issue. For YOU to now blame China for that is just plain silly.

Dr. Fauci was required to answer questions of US policy created by our government as well as questions of science. Those two do not always match.

Total coincidence that that one strain out of tens of thousands happened in Wuhan where making it more likely to infect humans happened.
