Yep. But whether they are forced into it or a person goes of their own free will, I'm afraid I cannot support a 'therapy' that says you are wrong and bad and perverted because of who you love. I suspect we disagree on that point, so no need to beat it to death.

Pedophilia has nothing to do with homosexuality and I do not conflate the two — so why would a gay “publication” hold a stance on on child rape? Its like saying the NFL doesn’t have a stance on wigs so they must hate cancer patients. I didn’t find a single one because I don’t care.

Go put in the religious section why isn’t the catholic church denouncing pedophilia and see what results you get.
In actuality they are lobbying governments to make penalties lower and decreasing the amount of time a victim has to come forward.

The AMA is a medical organization, they rule on the validity of medical issues and treatment. I have no issues with them saying that the treatment is not recognized. I also have no issue with the outright ban on minors and unwilling participants. Churches and religious organizations are not being banned from ex-gay therapy — it is just not a medical treatment.

 

Count on it. I put up with the long lines because they were being persecuted.

Now they are just another fast food joint. BK has a better spicy chicken sandwich now, and you don't have to line up for it.

 

The burger king locations in my area mess up the order too often for me to go anymore frequently than a few times a year. Their croissan'wich is usually great though.

The people around me must not have gotten the memo on CFA — lines still around the block.
What they lose in domestic customers mad because they are no longer donating to organizations that discriminate (petty) will be more than made up by the areas they are no allowed to open in and in international expansion efforts.

IMO, CFA will lose market share at a time when their competition is introducing chicken options targeted directly at CFA's consumer base.
They will no longer enjoy the unique market protection that their status as a persecuted business gave them. It is the only reason I ever bothered to put up with the CFA hassle.

 

When do you believe this reversal will happen?
I personally know several people that did not go to CFA previously that have started going but know of no one that has stopped going besides internet warriors.

 

Maybe it will be a wash, but CFA thrived with a loyal core consumer base of Christians and then those who opposed the boycotts. There is no longer any reason for those consumers to choose CFA over any of its competition.
But I am sure a Wharton MBA showed the board lots charts and projections to convince them that dissing their base will triple their profits.

I doubt that anyone said that dropping out of a policy that actually caused customers to boycott their business would triple their profits, but rather looked to future growth that limited where they could open and made their business model overseas not viable.

Furthermore, it’s slightly disingenuous to say that CFA is ”dissing” their base as that implies that anti-gay evangelicals are their only customers.
Also, I think you overestimate the number of people that will suddenly boycott over this decision — especially when most other large companies remain much more inclusive than CFA — Burger King for example is a supporter of many gay pride events.

Pedophiles are not welcome in LGBT events and NAMBLA currently has less than two dozen members worldwide, they would definitely not be considered an ally — you are better than this though, at least I thought you were. Guess I was wrong.
