Anything is possible, except to an authoritarian who believes government bureaucrats are best to raise the children of people who have no other connections for their children and whose "crime" is merely crossing a border.

Certainly not to freedom-hating conservatives who support draconian punishment for violating laws that prohibit victim-less activities.

Obama administration tried to keep ‘quiet’ how many children illegally crossed border....


Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Texas, said the Obama administration attempted to keep “quiet” about how many unaccompanied minors were crossing the border and that children were being held in detention centers.

“There were large numbers of people coming in,” Cuellar said in an interview with CNN on Saturday. “The Obama administration was trying to keep this quiet.”

According to the Washington Post, nearly 70,000 unaccompanied minors were apprehended at the border in 2014.

DHS officials verified Friday that 1,995 minors were taken away from accompanying adults while attempting to enter the U.S. between ports of entry between April 19 and May 31.

Minors who are split from their families as a result of the zero-tolerance policy will be housed by Health and Human Services.
But Cuellar pointed out that not all children crossing the border are being separated because some come alone.

“It’s not a matter that every single child we have in those centers are being separated because some of them are coming in alone,” Cuellar said.

He also pointed to immigrants bringing children across the border who are not their blood relatives in order to take advantage of U.S. immigration loopholes, which have since been rectified by Trump's zero-tolerance policy.

I have no idea. I don't have much interest in people's religious views. I don't think that Sessions should be going around quoting religious texts during his official duties. He's welcome to have his beliefs, but he must contain his official actions to laws.

Don't care... Until our Veterans get the proper care that they deserve through the VA system, and by that I mean no substandard VA Hospitals and Nursing Homes, I don't want any taxpayers dollars going to illegals in any form or fashion.
And then we can address our education system and the monies needed to right that ship
And then we can address inter city poverty, with the associated hopelessness and crime

It is the entire problem. We have corrupt politicians who, for their own reasons, do not want to solve our immigration issues.

We can't just allow kids to be smuggled into the country by child traffickers. Where is the humanity in that?

To me, this is all another distraction and non-issue. I'm not sure I blame the Democrats entirely for it, however, because we live in an age of sensationalism. Ordinary issues like taxes and government bloat, and even the need for a working health care system, do not get people excited or angry the way separating families does. Everything is an appeal to our most base emotions.

Many are MS-13 members bringing a child thinking they could get to Chicago and sell the kid for sex. We have ports of entry for asylum seekers. First time offending illegals are processed within the time frame allowed under Clinton's Janet Reno v Flores. Felons and asylum seekers take more time than Bubba and Janet allowed and are either placed with family members, HHS shelter or foster care.

 

Lets see, the cause of the separation is because the PARENTS put their children in danger and into that situation. Simple, charge the parents with child abuse and endangerment. Then throw them in jail for 3 years before releasing them back over the border. The children? Fly them to their home country and turn them over to that state. Seems fair to the children, it is the adults fault.
Anyways, we don't care about children, we murder 1/2 a million US citizens every year. Those children are just a bunch of cell too!
