Thanks , but yes I did know it meant uncultured. Or my dad's version of " temna massa" closest translation 'dark masses ' e.g. Ignorant and or uneducated. That was his description of Soviet Red Army soldiers that invaded in 1939.

I gave you the links about the vulnerability, if you want to play folly and think they are invulnerable, do it at your risk.

I didn't read the links because I don't see how they could be on topic. I said it is impossible to hack something that isn't connected to the internet. And it isn't.

An action like that would like result in missiles through the bedroom windows of everyone involved in giving that order.

Actually, depending on the potential US death toll, that would be just the opening salvo.

TRUMP ADMIN SHUTS DOWN RADIO STATION RUN BY CHINESE PROPAGANDA OUTLET: FCC denies Phoenix TV license after Sen. Cruz exposed station’s China ties.

A radio station controlled by the Chinese Communist Party propaganda outlet Phoenix TV has been ordered by the Trump administration to cease its broadcasts within 48 hours.

The Federal Communications Commission ruled on Monday that a Mexico-based radio station owned in part by Phoenix TV—one of the Communist regime’s leading propaganda organs—must end its broadcasts due to its failure to disclose its ties to China.

Prior to the FCC’s ruling, the station was exploiting a loophole that allows content produced in the United States to be broadcast from foreign radio towers, such as those in Mexico. Phoenix TV, which is headquartered in California, produced its content domestically and then used the more powerful Mexican station to broadcast across the U.S. border.

The FCC denied a license for that radio station, XEWW-AM, because it "failed to include in their application a key participant, Phoenix Radio, which produces the Mandarin programming in its studio," the agency disclosed. Phoenix Radio, Phoenix TV's radio affiliate, was using the station to broadcast Chinese propaganda across Southern California, in violation of FCC statutes.

Phoenix TV first found itself in Congress’s crosshairs earlier this year, after one of its reporters confronted President Donald Trump during a White House briefing about the coronavirus pandemic and Chinese government efforts to cover up the illness. The station’s presence at the White House generated concerns about the proliferation of Chinese state-controlled press organs in the United States.

We heard enough Chinese lies from the Outlaw State in the current pandemic they loosed on the world.

DON’T TRUST CHINA. CHINA IS ASHOLE: Spyware hidden in Chinese tax software was probably planted by a nation-state, say experts. “The malware’s sophistication, and the lack of an obvious quick payoff, seems to show it was planted by a nation-state, says cybersecurity firm Trustwave.”

Earlier this year, a multinational technology vendor doing business in China was instructed by its Chinese bank to install software to pay local taxes.

The tax software was legitimate, but embedded inside it was a nasty surprise, according to a new report by a private security firm: A sophisticated piece of malware that gave attackers complete access to the company’s network.

The firm, Trustwave, has dubbed the malicious software “GoldenSpy,” and is warning others in a report released Thursday to search their networks for it.

It’s the latest example of how companies and individuals should take special care when operating in China, said Brian Hussey, a former FBI cyber specialist and Trustwave’s vice president for threat detection and response.

Once again, this refers to the Communist People’s Republic China on the mainland, and not the well-run Republic of China on Taiwan.

Back in the real world, we will need to work with China (and everybody else) to keep this from happening again. Or at least not as badly..

China is an lying outlaw state, we need to disassociate from China. The rob us, lie to us and loose pandemics on us, they are very very expensive to trade with. It's time we took our business elsewhere, there are many places that will give us a better deal, respect our rights, and not be so destructive to the environment in the process. The kindest thing you can do for the environment is buy American or from other first world nations.

We've come to the right answers on some very important issues. Western culture developed organically over the last two and half millennia, starting from Greco-Roman philosophers a history that is not easy to duplicate. Our culture requires thrift, honesty, hard work, liberty, individuality, dispassionate reason, objective justice, loyalty, honor, stoicism, a desire to rise above oneself, and many other factors that perhaps cannot be seen or isolated but must be absorbed subliminally in all their complex interactions. These are reflected in social, religious, and political structures of the West — the three independent branches of government, the rule of law, compassion for others, charity, family system, etc.

The cultural factors underpinning the West sound like clichés until one who gives up political correctness for the truth starts to see that the Third World, despite its several centuries of interactions with the West, simply fails to understand. The Third World is blind to what makes the West a civilization. They have not consistently risen above animal instincts — craving for food, power over others, sex, and material products.

Over several centuries of western colonization and missionary activities, an attempt was made to infuse Western cultural factors into the Third World. It was only a marginal success. Their political systems tend to be tools for tribalism and tyranny.

The Third World is tempted by the physical products of Western society. They are sensation-centric. When they look at the West, all they see is entertainment, an easy-going lifestyle, freedom from responsibility, liberal governments, free health-care, consumerism, social welfare, and good salaries. They either want to be economic migrants to the West or copy the Western lifestyle, without an iota of an understanding that they must have wealth-generating capabilities first and that there is something unique and special at the foundations of Western culture.

I don't see our culture of reading in the Third World. If they end up reading Ayn Rand, all they see in it is a drama. They fail to see a non-collectivist philosophy embedded in it. If they watch movies like the Matrix, all they see is a sci-fi movie. They fail to see any suggestion that they might be getting indoctrinated by their leaders.

What they see as the culture of the West from their narrow worldview is primarily the culture of its lower-class and the entertainment industry.

European attempts to bring relief to the Third World only gave them brief respite. They never learned or even saw the principles that made such prosperity possible. All the advantages have been frittered away, through wars, excessive consumption, and malinvestment. The Third World’s craving for the material, unconnected with morality or reason, leaves them forever in poverty, oppression as they are unable to consistently produce above subsistence.

Nothing they have is sustainable, not capital nor institutions. It takes a higher calling to invest and preserve the surplus, knowing that the natural world is always in the process of decay, disintegration, and degradation. It takes sustained effort for a society to overcome that.

There is a limit to what we can do for them, other than set and example, trade fairly with them, and demonstrate that starting with us, they must respect the rights of others. China has treated it's best customer very badly, and it's important that we set an example to the world of what the consequences are when you abuse your customers.

They reduce their level of trade and interaction with the abusive fool.

    Kill them ALL!

Just as soon as we stock up with the critical drugs, basic industrial technology, masks and personal protective equipment, essential USA military equipment, automobile equipment, automation, assembly line technology, essential services, etc. to allow the USA to survive.

    Boy, then we nuke 'em!

This is one of the funniest screeds of jingoism I have seen in quite some time!

But this section is so backwards a worldview, the engineering people I know will be laughing at this claim for years to come:
This from a culture, USA, that has sold off, squandered, wasted, indebted our childrens' children, to get cheap toys from Walmart. And China has a savings rate 10 times an American to in irder to invest ever more on China's growth.

We fought for what we have become, we built it, painful century by painful century. Your idea that we can just hand the fruits of it to someone who doesn't understand what it takes to build and preserve it is silly.

Ask your engineering friends, you can hand someone an expensive complicated piece of machinery, and if they don't understand the need or process of maintaining and preserving it, very soon it's a worthless pile of junk.

Take Venezuela, they have the largest proven loose oil reserves in the world. They have soil that will grow anything, yet, the people starve. If American Working and Middle Class were transplanted there, they would quickly become prosperous. Not because they are inherently superior, but because of the outlook and values that have developed over the last 2500 years.

Now say after a time the indigenous peoples decided they had been robbed, and so they slaughtered the folks that had come in and built this wealthy prosperous society, burned their books, destroyed their statues, erased every trace of their values. They'd think they were rich until the current products and seed stock were consumed, and then everything would fall into decay and they would return to subsistence living, ruled by a few warlords who take by force what they desire from the rest.

We see this happen over and over and over again. Ask your "engineer friends" if it makes sense to ignore the same failed results while continuing the process that produces the failed results.

The best we can do is trade fairly with such folks and set the example that they are not to abuse others, by not allowing them to abuse us.

But, if you wish to believe "progressive" fairy tales, by all means, indulge. You live in such a prosperous society that you can likely get away with such self-indulgence.

They are outlaw liars. They force organ "donations". They have imprisoned a million and a half Muslim minorities and stationed government agents to share their wives beds in their absence. They loosed a pandemic on the world, then lied about it repeatedly, while they drained the world of the resources that would be necessary to survive a pandemic. They are truly horrible awful people, you are free to trade with them if you wish, pay no mind to the tariffs if you think the trade is worth it.

    The choice is yours!

But, right across the narrow straight is a perfectly lawful Chinese government, and socially responsible nation.

After an EMP attack, your expensive generator will be great for using it to saw holes to pour water in for hand washing!

Why would someone think a generator survive an EMP strike? Unless it is hardened agains EMP, an expensive process, things electric are worthless, although a fairly deep hole in the dirt might slow slow it down, if shielded properly..

What would blow out on it? There's no sensitive electronics on it, just a magneto and a spark plug.

Oh, sure, there isn't anything of those fancy electronics in those kind of product.

Since all there is a "magneto" and a "spark plug", open up any all the other electrical gear inside and cut it out and throw it all, obviously that stuff is there just to delude customers and double the prices and have no use! Its all Fake Electrical stuff.

That magneto will power your place just fine!
