Thats pretty much what we're doing with these sanctions: freezing any U.S. assets, banning U.S. travel and prohibiting Americans from doing business with them.

China has surged since mass murdering communist Mao Zedong died, but that's a rise from whaleshit levels. Here in America, it's the People that are the Nation, in China, they have a small number controlling faceless masses that they have never developed, and frankly have no idea how to develop into the near force of nature that is the American Producing and American Consumer Markets. China's home market cannot neither finance nor absorb the product of China’s industrial plant. China growth has rendered it hostage to it's foreign customers, a trap they could have avoided had they developed their own markets, but, they fear that if their people developed that they would slit the throats of their leadership letting their blood run into the street gutters. 1/5th of China’s product is exported and their largest customer is the United States that they lie to, steal from, threaten and loose pandemics on. Clearly customer service is not a value of the Lying Outlaw Beijing Slavers. They import raw product, energy and calories. They are not set up to survive serious external conflict. A Naval Blockade, which requires only that we plug the gaps between the island chain off their only coast and we have shoved a cork firmly into the bottleneck that is China. Very quickly, a 20 percent collapse of their economy and they are desperately vulnerable, subject to the tender mercies of Putin, who could, and probably would for a price, resupply them over land. This might keep them from complete failure, but the idea that they can successfully project global power in this state is the stuff of fables.

 

We rely on China for about half of 1 percent of our GDP, and we are shifting that to domestic producers and foreign producers with the good manners not to loose pandemics, lie to, and steal from their best customer. They are far more dependent on us, than we on them. China is a rising power only because we generously provided them fairly open acccess to our best in the world Consumer Markets, and they have returned our generosity with Lies, Theft , a Pandemic and Disrespect. They were only a "Rising Power" with our assistance. In truth they're perched on a very slippery slope without recourse to warfare.

Now say China foolishly commits an act of war. They recently had some Biden Brain Level idiot Admirals that if they sank a few Aircraft Carriers that America would quickly fold, a sure sign that they didn't spend much time learning how America responds to violence, not just after Pearl Harbor, but 9/11. Such an act would immediately be followed by filled churches and then America storming military recruitment centers. This Nation flipping to war footing in the aftermath of Chinese Aggression in International Waters is nothing the Lying Outlaw Slavers of Beijing ever want to see. China must have access to global markets, which depends overwhelmingly on the ports of its east coast. The Island dotted South China Sea is major military problem. To access the ocean, China must control the sea lanes through at least one outlet. We don't have to control these lanes; we just need to deny them to China. The difference is massive. The Lying Outlaw Slavers of Beijing would have to force the U.S. into deep retreat to secure access while we only need to hold enough position to fire cruise missiles or lay mines in the sea routes.

While China has a nasty habit of pissing off all their neighbors and potential key allies by treating them with the same heavy handed disrespect they are trying with us, our Navy controls the Pacific from the Aleutians to Japan, Korea, Taiwan, the Philippines, Indonesia and Australia, with a time honored sophisticated alliance system that China doesn't even understand, much less, has any ability to match. If only one of China’s close neighbor littoral nations allied with it, China would have a way out, but China has no more understanding of how to make and maintain those kinds of relationships than they understand developing domestic markets, or integrating their Muslim population into their state rather than locking them up in Concentration Camps while government agents systematically rape their wives. Vietnam and India, two nations that could really benefit China had those relationships been cultivated, are not only not interested, they are flat out hostile to the interests of the Lying Outlaw Slavers of Beijing.

 

Russia could supply them overland, but Russia has to stay focused on their west and on the Caucasus. They have no ground force to lend, nor a naval force that would be decisive in its Pacific operations.

China's government probably can't survive a breakdown in the global trading system, whereas for the U.S. this would be at most a great inconvenience.

So, we just make sure China can read their cards accurately, we won't initiate a conflict, and if China has any brains at all, they won't either. The Beijing Slavers can yell about how they are going to drive the US from the Pacific, but, it's just bluster, we are going no where. We'll never invade invade mainland China, we had enough of the Chinese hordes when we foolishly camped near the Yalu River. When they swarmed out of the hills near Unsan, North Korea, and on to our 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, they never saw them coming, and we'll never forget what they saw. We have no need to conquer China and we have no desire to expose our forces to the massive Chinese ground forces. But, should the Lying Outlaw Slavers of Beijing force our hand we can slam a cork in their access to world markets.

China is developing advanced weapon systems but how reliable are they? They aren't battle tested. Wars are won by People. People who are brave and motivated and supplied by factories that don’t screw up. Sure, engineering sets the stage, but in battle it's who can more quickly jury-rig a breakdown. Our people and our allies know our systems, know that they work and are wholly versed in their operation. China has not fought a naval battle since 1895, a battle they badly lost.
