So far, most of you don't mind the idea of growing very old, even if it means you lose your faculties, and start to pee yourself And you are also keen to die free of pain, which is implying to me that you would support a person's self determination to end their own life, in a controlled medical environment, under certain legal conditions. Right?
I don't think it is illegal, at least not here. However, if someone tried and failed, they MAY be asked to get help.
No, no, no. In your mouth and pointed backwards to remove as much brain as possible. You want to anchor it against your teeth, cheeks, etc because pulling the trigger makes your move the gun and instead you just remove your face.
I've been in plenty of pain before. Both emotionally and physically. Of course not cancer pain but still plenty. I respect others choice to die. But for me the choice is obvious. Life or death. Hope or nothingness. I'm a technology nerd and I plan on seeing as far into the future as my body will allow. And hopefully once my body gives up I can still go on inside a computer! Because even that's better than nothing at all.
I agree and disagree. How do you determine whether a person of sound mind, who wants to commit suicide for no apparent reason, is actually sound of mind at all?
From medical records, for one thing, and by patient consultation, for another. How do determine that they aren't?
There comes a time in almost every one's life when the body becomes a prison of agony. When that happens almost every one welcomes death as an old friend.
No - if you were concerned, it would be up to you to prove them not of sound mind, in other words, they do not have the cognative awareness to understand what they are agreeing to. Unless there was evidence of that, either in their medical notes, or after a consulatants notes, then I think you have to conclude that the person is of sound mind. In other words, it is their choice.
Everyone would merely need to write it in their will, that this is their wish. And, of course it would be regulated. It already is. Very. In nations that accept it.
