That would take away everyone's free will to choose good or evil. Do you not want that choice? Would you rather be forced to be good or forced to do evil? That's what you are asking. Liberty and freedom are based on this which is a reason the U.S. is endowed by our Creator.
I don't see how you conflate the two statements. They are not beholden to each other. In order to be in heaven, it's required that you are properly with authority baptized and receive the Holy Ghost. So, your citizenship in heaven is based upon your faith and works. Your actions and behaviors as well. When you do this, you are welcomed in to the Church of Jesus Christ. What's so hard to understand?
Yes, there is. But, the question was about here on earth. For heaven, what will be missing? Satan. While we still have our own right to choose, it will be achievable without the tempter.
So Jesus could of just got rid of Satan and there would still be free will but no sin, Jesus is clearly not omnibenevolent is he?
The Father could have got rid of Satan and did banish him from heaven (Lucifer). But, he had a role to play for us who made it to earth with a physical body. To tempt us so that we could develop faith in difficult times. Satan isn't the only reason for sin. People have the God - given right to choose good or evil even without Satan. So, it's possible to have sin without Satan. That's why most people will gain a place in heaven but not eternal life in Father's kingdom. We have our choice to choose Jesus or Satan. It has nothing to do with Jesus being omnibenevolent. Why does everything have to be black and white for atheists? It keeps atheists from understanding the Plan of Happiness.
It does not have to be black and white, it has to make sense. You have shown a contradiction in the bible, by contradicting yourself, thank you.
The fairy tale says that your destiny was determined before you were born. It sure would have been nice if your God character would have gotten his story straight.
That fact that many abolitionists were Christians does not change the fact the the Bible supports slavery.
Slavery in the Bible was more like indentured servitude. https://beginningandend.com/does-the-bible-condone-slavery/
Do you think that makes it excusable? When the bible tells you how to properly bear your slaves, and says not to kill them, does that excuse the beatings it is endorsing?
The Bible set guidelines to keep the slavery that existed in Israel under control. It didn't encourage people to mistreat their slaves.
It explicitly tells slaves to obey their masters, says it’s ok to beat them up so long as they don’t die, says where it’s ok to take slaves from, etc. Let’s not pretend it was anti-slavery. It doesn’t say to enslave everybody or that slavery is glorious, but it Is a creation of a culture that was clearly ok with slavery, and it clearly excuses it and gives it the green light.
I have not contradicted myself one bit. There is no contradiction in the bible as well. You simply don't understand what the Bible is nor how it works. If you did, you would have been specific. But, you weren't.
Again, posting incomplete posts makes it hard to respond to. What part of his story did he not get right? I see no contradiction. And, if you want to be taken seriously, you may want to start by not demeaning believers in God. It's a major tenant of debate.
Christian scholars. LOL! That's like saying Obama is a Constitutional lawyer with a straight face. Many Christian scholars aren't Christian. Many are atheists calling themselves scholars concerning Christianity and the New Testament. As I have done before, I can refute any so-called contradiction in the bible.
Not much confidence in your post. Care to try me? And, bring a new one so I don't have to rehash old stuff.
your post said nothing, it basically said any Christians that believe there are contradictions in the bible are not real Christians, lol
