A new study (Boulila et al., 2022) suggests “abrupt and severe changes in Earth’s past climate” have been occurring at ~1,500-year periodicities since the iceless Jurassic period.
Warming events of degrees C per within decades or less were at one time thought to have occurred only at locations like Greenland and the North Atlantic during the last glacial period (70 to 12 thousand years ago).

But the evidence has been piling up from locations throughout the globe (e.g., on continents and tropical to high latitude oceans, lakes, and rivers) indicating these warming events have “a global interconnection between the two hemispheres.”

These “abrupt and severe” global warming events with ~1,500-year periodicities can even be traced back to the iceless Jurassic period when Antarctica was a rainforest and 38°C warmer than today. This suggests the driving force for these global warming periods were not dependent on ice sheet dynamics.

The video reviews David Attenboroughs’ 2021 documentary “Breaking Boundaries: The science of our planet” and highlights the disturbing number of distortions and misleading information he presents that is contradicted by a wealth of peer-reviewed science. This video reveals that despite lower CO2 concentrations and lower temperatures, the Holocene’s climate has always been unstable, plagued by a multitude of natural mega-droughts that reduced biodiversity, collapsed civilizations, and resulted in millions and millions of deaths.

The video provides the easily understood science of the causes of the earth’s mega-droughts that contradict Attenborough narrative so he completely ignores that science, preferring to demonize CO2. The purpose of Attenborough and Rockstrum’s fearful and distorted science appears to be, based on their own words in the documentary, motivated by their desire for a world government run by the United Nations Security Council which would control our economies and energy policies and thus enforce what they believe to be the earth’s “breaking boundaries”.

We've pretty much ceded the clean energy industry to China, as they develop the most patents, produce the leading product, export the most, and install the most.

It even affects foreign policy, as China gains entry in Africa and other places because of the clean energy technology they can offer, making drilling, pipelines, cracking plants, buying/shipping oil, etc., all less necessary.

 

No one in Africa wants clean energy.

 

They do want energy. And, China is working on that with various governments in Africa.

Summary

The simple CO2 budget model I introduced in 2019 is updated with the latest Mauna Loa measurements of atmospheric CO2 and with new Energy Information Administration estimates of global CO2 emissions through 2050. The model suggests that atmospheric CO2 will barely double pre-industrial levels by 2100, with a total radiative forcing of the climate system well below the most extreme scenario (RCP8.5) used in alarmist literature (and the U.S. national climate assessment), with the closest match to RCP4.5. The model also clearly shows the CO2 reducing effect of the Mt. Pinatubo eruption of 1991. . . .

 

Half of all humans on earth are in a temperature danger zone today. They are having wildfires in the middle of winter in the S hemisphere.
