Me - I'll give the majority of climate scientists some credibility. The reefs where I used to dive are bleached out. The high tides out my window are higher on the seawall. The road on the island to my north had to be raised because it was starting to flood. South Beach is installing pumps to deal with constant sea water intrusion in the drainage systems. Something is changing. To bury one's head just because your political party tells you to, isn't the hight of intelligent scientific thought.
Climate changes, it goes through cycles, always has always will. The OP is about scientist being fed bad data to form their opinion so you really missed that point I guess
Sea levels have been rising since the end of the last glaciation which is normal during an inter-glacial. Just because one chooses to live on an ever-changing coastline does not mean everybody else is at fault.
But most often, on much longer time tables. These are changes that are occurring in the last 15 years. If these changes were happening over several thousand - no big deal. And the BIG BIG difference this time is that billions of people now inhabit the areas affected by said changes - BIG BIG BIG difference.
You are confusing climate variations with climate change. The IPCC even recognizes that short term trends over 10 - 15 years cannot be used to make judgements on long term climate change. Source - The Rightful Place of Science: Disasters and Climate Change - Roger Pielke Jr. - 2014 - page 42
Please research the little ice age and notice how fast we went into and then came out of it. Yes climate can and does have very rapid changes without the help of man.
