CNN Poll Shows Amnesty Advocates Are Big Loser in Shutdown

Electorate predictions are made based on public opinion polls. How convenient you ignore that.

 

It's not my fault Electorate Predictions and Pundits inaccuratly used accurate national polling data when determining state wins on the EC Map.

The national polls were correct and accurate in viewing their measure, public sentiment. They always have been. Historically.

 

Race cards? Don't you people ever get tired of making laughable jackasses out of yourselves? Ever since Obama stumbled through the Oath of Office in January of 2009, the frothing-at-the-mouth liberal Left has been throwing race cards and screaming, "RACISTS!" at the top of the lungs about everything.

A shithole is a shithole is a shithole. That is true regardless of whatever race predominates in any particular shithole. If it's Black, if it's East Asian, if it's White -- whatever. A shithole is a shithole is a shithole. And rabid, radical Democrats are determined to bring SHITHOLES to our front doorsteps in the United States! Just listen to them! Crudball Democrats like Schumer and Pelosi are absolutely OBSESSED with doing this! They'll shut down the whole damned government to do this!

But instead of seeing this disgrace for what it is, the rabid Left would rather go on senselessly screaming, "RACISTS!" at everybody who respects the LAW and loves THIS country.

Overall, about half of Americans say they would blame either Trump (21%) or his Republican counterparts in Congress (26%) should Congress fail to fund the government by the midnight Friday deadline. About a third, 31%, say they would hold the Democrats in Congress responsible, and another 10% say they'd blame all three groups. Among Republicans, 62% would blame the Democrats in Congress, while 43% of Democrats would blame Republicans on Capitol Hill and 29% would blame Trump.

Still, 56% overall say approving a budget agreement to avoid a shutdown is more important than continuing the DACA program, while just 34% choose DACA over a shutdown. Democrats break narrowly in favor of DACA -- 49% say it's more important vs. 42% who say avoiding a shutdown is the priority -- while majorities of both Republicans (75%) and independents (57%) say avoiding a shutdown is more important.....

....On its own, the DACA program remains broadly popular, with 84% saying they would like to see it continue, including 72% of Republicans, 82% of independents and a near-unanimous 96% of Democrats. Almost two-thirds (63%) say dealing with the program should be an extremely or very high priority for Congress, narrowly ahead of the 61% who say the same about passing a long-term funding bill to avoid future shutdowns.

Both DACA and funding the government, however, fall well below CHIP on the priority scale. Eighty percent overall call the Children's Health Insurance Program an extremely or very important priority for Congress, including 91% of Democrats and 70% of Republicans.
Neither the President nor Congress are particularly popular, according to the poll, with Trump's approval rating at a net-negative 40% approve to 55% disapprove, and Congress meriting just 18% approval, with 76% disapproving. That's the worst rating in CNN polling on the legislative branch since before the start of this Congress last January.

Trump is a Very Stable Genius, not a hypnotist. Dems made their choice and now the government is shut down. But, since Trump isn't a petulant Community Organizer with a pedestrian intellect, we won't see any of the Barry-caides and he will not seek to pummel the American People like the Childish Community Organizer did.

Much of the government’s work will continue despite the shutdown, as the Amazing Trump administration applies flexibility to shutdown rules that contain a variety of exceptions.

Obama threatened Social Security Payments, saying he couldn't guarantee they would be issued during his shutdown, so such antics will occur under the Far More Mature, Trump. Social Security payments will be deposited as 53,000 workers for that agency stay on the job, as will Medicare reimbursements, because the payments don’t rely on an annual appropriation. In addition, Mr. Trump’s agencies will go further than previous shutdowns and continue existing plans in progress, keeping agencies like the Environmental Protection Agency open with unused funds, as well as national parks.

Mr. Trump’s own activities, including planned travel to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, will continue under an exemption for activity required by the president to carry out his constitutional duties.

Defense Secretary Jim "Mad Dog" Mattis isn’t halting a planned trip to Asia this weekend; the military will generally continue operations, as will the Department of Homeland Security.

“We are going to manage the shutdown differently; we are not going to weaponize it,” Mr. Mulvaney said.

Mr. Trump noted in a tweet that Democrats had sought a shutdown “in order to help diminish the great success of the Tax Cuts, and what they are doing for our booming economy,” referring to the tax overhaul passed last year.

That only applies to the Community Organizer, not the Very Stable Genius. Dems have been in an impotent rage for fifteen months and now in a spit of spite, they have shut down the Federal Government. Trump will make it as easy as he can on the nation while we await Democrats finally returning to their sense.

One day you will thank him for this.

 

Accepting applications just means more people here illegally are identifying themselves should, in the unlikely event, Trump actually starts deporting people, making it easier for them to be found.

The ruling only applies to those currently with DACA protection. In other words, the spin you are trying to use doesn't apply.

President Trump duly noted it, and nearly a year later, he has his own ad that links Democrats to an illegal alien who laughed in court about killing two police officers.
