    You would doubt wrong. Fox News is up. People are sick and tired of the lies, fake news, heavy left-wing bias of CNN and the MSM. The smarter Americans know they are being lied to and tuning out.

    Twenty years ago I watched CNN as much as FOX, if not more. Today, I never watch it at all, unless I'm interested in how they've managed to manipulate and distort news items, while totally ignoring others altogether. CNN and MSNBC are little more than two classic propaganda-mills for the hyperliberal Left....

    The country is sick and tired of the negative Trump news slant, the only station that is not 90% negative is picking up viewers.

    Very honestly, at this point I think that ALL of us, from ultra-Liberals to ultra-Conservatives, are just simply "SICK AND TIRED".

    If I'm correct about that, it might just be the ONLY thing that both the Left and the Right in the United States have in common anymore....

    Good grief, who cares if the news folk are "impressed" with Trump? Obviously fewer and fewer Americans are "impressed" with their heavily slanted reporting.

    Fox news has earned a huge following, as CNN has watched their numbers plummet. I think America is growing weary of the Trump hate networks.

    Not from the left but I do have a theory for why CNN ratings are down. I think most younger people do not watch cable news. I don't consider myself young but I am not old enough to be in the typical cable news viewing category. If I remember correctly there were some stats out ages ago that show the average age of Fox News viewers and I think it was over 60. CNN and MSNBC viewers were only slightly younger. I work in IT and am surrounded by young people and most do not subscribe to cable let alone watch cable news. I personally only watch CNN when traveling because it is usually one of the few channels in English. I get most of my news online and watch a few cable news clips on youtube. I can't remember the last time I turned on cable news at home. So my theory is, ratings for cable news will continue to decline as their audience ages and dies off.

    i've also noticed that with c-span, they now have commentary during their coverage of political events/elections... freagin sad sh*t... although it is a 'live' feed and a better source than anything else available... one just needs to tune out the commentary/recap bs...

    You and I would likely not agree on most things, but I agree with you on that. The news cycle is something I dont follow as much now. It's just all about Trump as if nothing else is going on in the world.

    There is a small, niche market for what MSNBC sells. There is no market for what CNN sells.

    CNN is far left, but they try to mask it. Far left loons prefer the pure, unfiltered stuff at MSNBC.

    ESPN lost a lot of viewers and jobs because they injected leftist politics into sports.

    When will the TV execs understand the public doesn’t want socialism and political correctness shoved in their face?
