    The truth often is ironic.

A very familiar place. Some good restaurants there.

The funny thing, is that I had heard that FOX's ratings had been in the crapper, since the early part of this year, I think, give or take. Speaking of which, if you don't mind my being frank, I think you've done kind of a half-assed job with this thread. I mean, surely you realize your thread begs the question: WHERE have their viewers gone? If it has been to MSNBC, that would be kind of ironic, since they were more committed to Trump's demise than CNN ever was, or at least that was my impression. In fact, I now recall a thread, early this year, about MSNBC's ratings being WAY up. So, I'll leave it to you to figure out the reasons, but the appearance is that the network that bet heaviest in favor of Biden & against Trump, has won the biggest pot of viewers.

Perhaps, also, with the excitement of the election, and the disputes over the vote totals, & the lack of clarity whether Trump would willingly relinquish power, the Capitol riot, some worry-warts even fearing Trump might start a war w/ Iran as a distraction, or ploy, or whatever, maybe there were just more viewers, overall, at that time, and the relative banalities of the pandemic, the international tensions with Russia & China, President Biden's new Cabinet, the proposed Infrastructure plan, & so forth, just aren't enough to pack'em in, anymore.

AT&T is in the process of spinning off Warner Media including CNN in a deal including DISCOVERY into a separate company expected to close in mid 2022.

I tend to think of CNN the same way I think of FOX news. Highly slanted articles and commentary, worded to elicit exact emotional responses from the exact demographics they're aimed at. They are both very good at creating the product they market to their viewers, and while the content and viewpoints are different, these two news organizations are very similar in a lot of ways. They are echo chambers.

As far as declining viewership goes, I think it's a reflection of both a Democrat being in the White House, and a boring man at that. Not the attention whoring manchild we had to endure for four long years where you had to tune in to find out what new doltish jackass thing he's said or done today, or even just this afternoon since this morning.
