Statement from the Montgomery County Police Department Regarding Victim Accusations of Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh:

At this time, the Montgomery County Police Department has not received a request by any alleged victim nor a victim’s attorney to initiate a police report or a criminal investigation regarding Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

The Department recognizes that victims of sexual assault may not want to involve law enforcement and/or initiate a criminal investigation, and we respect that position. The Department, however, stands prepared to assist anyone who reports being the victim of a sexual assault.

Typically, in a sexual assault case, the cooperation of the victim or witnesses is necessary. As with any criminal investigation, a determination must be made as to the jurisdiction where the alleged offense occurred and the specific details of the event to establish a potential criminal charge.

Our Department is ready to investigate any claim of sexual assault that is alleged to have occurred within our County.

The witnesses she claimed were there. Who exactly supported it?

 

He could be charged with a crime and serve time in jail for her accusations.

 

Acosta is a vile man. Assault and battery is horrible, but when it’s a man in power doing it to a female it’s even more sick.

Then you don't know what the word "altered" means. Nice shifting of the goalposts, though. Should you decide to look at this with an eye toward critical thinking, ask yourself why the video editors would have the video play at regular speed and deceptively increase the speed at the time of contact. The only time I've ever seen that technique is in action films when they need to over-dramatize the physical contact.

I don't think that had it been sped up, it was at the point of contact. Sped up one probably would miss the contact. Wallace who saw it says he saw the contact. Why do you want to snow the forum on what Acosta pulled?

 

If it didn't have to be sped up, why was it sped up? The obvious reason would be to over-dramatize the event and mislead people into believe the action was more violent than it actually was. Hence why we have people all around this thread talking about "battery" and "karate chop."

 

I still have not seen this "sped up version." I saw it in normal speed and Acosta was out of line. Anyway, as with the Mods here, at the White House Trump is in charge there.

 

It was disputed by every witness she named.

An accusation is not evidence of itself and no evidence supported the accusation.

It probably cannot be proven she lied but there is clear and objective motive such as the money she gained and the enhancement of her career.

So, nobody refuted anything except brett who has been proven to lie under oath many times. Ford hasn't.

 

But, there was a statute of limitations at the time, regardless, I'm not going to pretend to be a lawyer. I agree that you can't send a person to prison based on testimony alone, but you ABSOLUTELY can keep them from the Supreme Court.

Just the testimony of a reliable woman followed by unprofessional outbursts, childish antics, and lying under oath. If nothing else, the lying under oath is plenty to disqualify him.

You mean the money she never asked for that is apparently going to a security detail, and the need to move 4 times, and the job she hasn't been able to go back to? She's a millionaire, you think she put her life at risk and turned her life upside down, humiliated herself in front of the world for a couple hundred grand? She's probably worth more than I am and I sure as hell wouldn't do that for a measly few hundred.

It doesn't matter then it matters now and he could be prosecuted. Ford has not file a charge has not asked law enforcement to investigate.

So you don't believe in due process and innocent until proven guilty BY EVIDENCE not merely by ACCUSATION even when there is not a shred of evidence to prove the accusation and the weight of the evidence clearly says it is not true?

She had no reliability.

You cannot cite one lie under oath.

All untrue she made massive money and still has a career which has enjoyed a massive boost.

 

Which witness corroborated her accusation?

What did he knowingly lie about under oath that had any material value to the hearing?

She tried her little stunt because she didn't think he name would ever be known and there was no risk. So she should pay any expenses she had and donate the rest of the money to a charity don't you think?

Wrong it is not a different question.

She stated they were witnesses and not one of them supported her claim.

She has no evidence and no witness of any sort.

None of that makes her reliable and not one of those quotes can be proven a lie.
