Could his going from a Super Bowl super star a couple of years ago to mediocre now at best, be all about his bad attitude?!

Virtually every single comment both have made from Trayvon to Michael to Freddie; they've promoted a lie on the world's biggest stage. BLM is an illegitimate movement because it's built on lies. Lies that have been proven lies in courts.

Guy making millions refuses to stand up for the country that allows him to do so.
    Did I miss anything?
I suppose he has the right to do that.
The NFL might should take some action unless they want to project an image of being Anti-American,though.

You might not get what this democracy thing is about. In a democracy, we teach folks that you can believe this country is unfair, and also believe that change is possible; that people themselves provide hope, and that it pays to hang around and see it happens. We are not supposed to want folks who see injustice pack their bags for Cambodia. We are supposed to want them to stay and help work things out. Its a democracy and its the guys that see things as wrong, that give democracy any goals to work toward.

Step One. See a problem. Step Two. Say what you think it is. Step three is not supposed to be hide your head in shame, and run out of the room.

There is nothing to repremind him for. There are no rules stating you have to stand. Now he will most likely lose endorsements and this may cause him conflict in the locker room. However he has every right to do what he did just as we have every right to criticize him for it.

    - - - Updated - - -

The nfl can take no action as there are no rules he broke.

His employer can take action because his comments were harmful to the employer. We've been through this a million times. He's free to say whatever, but his employer is also free to fire him over it. It's embarrassing. That's good enough.

His employers is the 49ers not the nfl. I commented on folks thatvsaid the nfl should do something about it. Yes, the 49ers can do something about it

    - - - Updated - - -

No action will be taken by the nfl. The 49ers themselves can but the nfl won't. It's already been shown no nfl rules have been broken by this.

Fair enough. The 49ers are a franchise of the NFL. If the NFL wanted him punished by the 49ers, or if they wanted to punish him; either would be well within their right to do so. Of course no one expects either PC organization to do anything but honor him for it.

Seems it depends on what's in the contracts with the NFL and with his sponsors.

He has the right to (*)(*)(*)(*) on the country. People have the right to comment on it. Him (*)(*)(*)(*)ting on the country is based on nothing but ignorance but he has the right to be ignorant.

It probably would have meant more coming from someone who was actually a decent player. A fine or a suspension is out of the question though. People can be critical of our system and still love our country.

How much you wanna bet that every time the Nat Anthem is played in games involving SF that cameras will be on him! He shud just go inside the locker room and then come out after.

To shock some of you younger 'folk,' in the 50's we said both the Pledge and the Lord's Prayer in public school <gasp>

Now me being Catholic couldnt say the last line of the Lord's Prayer, "For thine is the kingdom and power and glory to come" as there are 2 versions of it in the Gospels, and the Catholics have chosen the one without that ending!! And so we still stood but remained silent during that part.

And those who were Jews (we never knew as they had a low profile!) just stood the whole time during the Lord's Prayer.

And funny thing is that none of us suffered psychological damage during those times even while getting the paddle on a regular basis!! [IMG]

But it is the right of the NFL and it's member teams to suspend players if they are publicly critical of the drafting of openly gay players.
It's not Chip Kelly's right to tell Kaepernick to stand up during the anthem but he can tell him to shut up if he said something the NFL found abhorrent.

There's the NFL double standard. That's why the NFL is such a two faced cowardly bunch of weasels.
Roger Goodell can go to hell and take his fascist league with him.
