    Agreed, and wise, adept and experienced politicians have done just that. Boebert isn't one of those.

    Lauren Boebert can still run in any district in the state as long as she lives in the state. I just read that.

    So if the redistricting goes as planned she can choose her district.

    I read she can run in any district as long as she lives in the state so why would she not run for re-election in district 3?

    Well, Colorado is one of only 7 states that give redistricting authority, exclusively to NON-POLITICAL COMMISSIONS; that is, no members of the Commission can hold a political office (the other 6 states are MI, AZ, CA, ID, WA, & HI). So partisan politics should not enter into this at all. I haven't yet checked your link, but when I'd heard the story, earlier tonight, the new district lines had yet to be drawn, and the conversation about the potential Neguse - Boebert contest noted that, depending on how the other lines were drawn, the contested district could either be one that favored Neguse, or one that favored Boebert.

    At least the voters did vote on it, rather than leaving it up to the Colorado General Assembly (Boulder and Denver run that). Was approved by 70% more or less. Still not flawless, the commission is staffed by government employees who are not accountable to the voters, and they may end up drawing the final map.

    It entirely has to do with population density. Those small-sized districts encompass the big city areas of Denver and Colorado Springs.

    Many people don't realize this but the distribution of population across the country is definitely not evenly spread. Probably 99% of the population lives in 1% of the area. In many of these Mountain West states, if you head much far outside of the cities, there's just a bunch of mostly nothing.

    Boebert's district mostly encompasses the Rocky Mountain part of the state. High altitude, not many people there. Signs that threaten to shoot you if you trespass onto the owner's huge parcels of land are very common, and these signs are not exaggerating by very much.

    Will be interesting to see if she wins.

    You know, the last time I was walking my dogs and accidentally stepped in a pile of hot, stinking dogshit and then I had to clean it off my boots, I thought alot of MAGA and the motivated me to do a really thorough job of cleaning off said boots. So there's that, you know.

    She has already been cited for using campaign funds to illegally pay bills for her restaurant.Georgia should do the same with Marjorie Taylor Greene.

    My understanding is she is admitting that some funds were improperly used for her personal expenses.
    She claims that it was an innocent mistake.
    To be fair, I do not think she will be in very much trouble for this.
    Still, kind of amateurish work for a freshman US Representative w/higher asperations.
