Tomorrow's assassination machinery. Just think, enough cyanide-tipped mosquitoes and you could wipe out Drone Headquarters without harming a civilian.

Of course, our own insecurity services will want them so that they can surveille and assassinate us but the technology is relatively inexpensive and very small . We'll be able to develop our own counter-measures in the garage. Hell, we could even get to them first ! Death to Skynet !

You still want to let them play ' robot wars ' in your name ? Hear that buzzing ? You have been warned.

I said ' Death to Skynet ' not ' SkyKnesset '...but that's certainly an intruiging concept.

You speak like a hunted man (woman?), chased by the Gov ? targeted by the officials ? making you own weapons? what's up?

You speak like a supporter of assassination and the victimisation of Palestinians. Do cheap and accessible assassination and surveillance materials for all worry you a tad ?

This thread does raise a more serious issue.
American CIA murders may well set up Americans for attack and, much as I totally disagree with killing civilians, I can understand why they'd do it.
Of course, that would be terrorism whist the American murder would be defence.

A dead terrorist today saves many lives tomorrow, that's true.

I dont think terrorsist will try to use such weapons because they need the big bang effect, whats the point of killing someone if you cant prove you killed him.

Yes, the public supported the satellite programmes - never dreaming to what repugnant use they would be turned. We support micro-robotics at our peril. Full and authoritative public oversight is required.

Actually that big bang you'll be hearing will be Wall Street crashing after America, once again, decides to spend trillions on yet another of its little military adventures.
Terrorists are far more devious than you give them credit for; how much do you think losing the war in Afghanistan has hurt America where it hurts most-in the pocket.

I'm not going to be drawn into discussing the filthy workings of assassination with experts.

That;s because the US is stuck on a romantic Cowboy fantasy, they think they can "fix" the world, they will learn in time, in fact I think Iraq and Afgan tought them that just now.

I think the Poster has it bass ackwards: the drones are our revenge on the so-called victims.:clapping:

When we kill Abu Fek al Cephalic with a missile out of nowhere, there is no glory in his death; nothing inspirational. He has merely been stepped upon like the virulent scorpion he claims to be ---and all the nasty little schemes he had worked on go "Whoosh!" along with him.:eyepopping:

Tough titty -comin' to YOUR city, Bomber Boy !!:salute:

Canadian scientists have already developed nanotech which has successfully infected the R-complex of those with terrorist tendencies, helping the authorities locate potential threats and then deal with them.

Stage one involves said nanotech enhancing the subjects natural prejudices, making their communications easier to follow as they can't help but discuss their obsessions out loud. Oddly enough, it seems all they talk about are Jews - which does make them easier to target.

Canada: Last bastion of sanity on Earth!

Bunch of seal-pup clubbers last time I looked. Oh yes, and its current moron-in-charge voted against Palestinian Statehood. An immoral US of AIPAC appendage.
    Big fat mosquitoes too.

Hey, Canada knows the winning side. Lets face it, who would you rather be friends with, the huge guy next door with the big bat or that has-been UK that doesn't have the military might to knock over a taco stand or three good teeth in all of Britain?

Its current government majority are US of AIPAC whores who fly in the face of popular Canadian opinion. They shame you by siding with the oppressors of Palestine and they thoroughly deserve that stautus of their bedfellows, the Marshall Islands, Palau , the Czech Republic and the slimy Israelis. A shameful bunch , not fit to be viewed separately from their southern overlords.

To which I say: Do something about it. But maybe the UK should start small. Maybe they could take over, I dunno - The local McDonalds?

When France can militarily outperform the UK by a wide margin, it's time to treat anything from Airstrip One with about as much weight as Francesco Schettino.

I'm confused by this thread. In the original post who is included in "our"? Also why is a terrorist allowed to post on the forum?

So, what does this new marvel of Canadian innovation do after it locks in on a Protocols Parrot squawking "US OF AIPAC"? Drop a Thorazine bomb on it?

The OP illustrates an interesting biotech concept.

As far as Islamic extremists/terrorists using this technology to fight against the wider world... well, there may be a few isolated incidents, but I wouldn't expect anything significant. Between the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, and India, cyber activists who are inclined to value their freedoms will fight back without prompting from their home governments.

Totally agree. Iran just stunned the world - by launching a monkey into space. I figure in about twenty years, Iranian science will have mastered those helicopter toys you can buy at Wal-Mart for about thirty bucks.

Well they have an advanced nuclear program and are at the forefront of stem cell research; not bad when considering the Western sanctions.
