'According to the media and gun control groups, the whole “good guy/gal with a gun” thing is just a myth, right? WRONG. A young woman with a concealed weapons permit and a handgun was in the right place at the right time on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, when she stopped a horrific terrorist-style vehicular attack on mourners at a funeral in Columbia, S.C. Jennifer Timmons, a spokeswoman for the Columbia Police Department, confirmed the young woman drew her firearm after a man weaponized his car in an attempt to kill mourners attending Margaret “Peggy” Livingston’s funeral at Greenlawn Memorial Park.' Yet the media is quiet. Source: https://bearingarms.com/jenn-j/2017/07/24/concealed-carry-permit-holder-prevents-mass-casualties/
Of Course they're quiet. Their masters have an agenda that requires the disarmament of the American citizenry, and letting stories like this become common knowledge undermines that agenda.
media is quiet if you read the article you would have realised it is based of a media report http://www.thestate.com/news/local/crime/article162994678.html Never let the truth get in the way of putting a tin foil hat on.
He knows. Had this attack taken place, CNN and MSNBC would fall over each other to be the first to blame Trump, the NRA and Sam Colt. People stopping crimes like this with their legally carried concealed handgun? Nothing to see here, move along...
Media always has there leaning same with Fox. We have the same thing here in australia, however, I think you will find the thing that influences media companies the most is ratings /eyeballs / clicks. Your story was covered it just was not considered juicy enough then something that does go national. Expecting every incident when you have so many to covered by biggers news outlets is unrealistic, inferring some sort of anti gun bullcrap agenda on this one is just garbage.
The antigun slant of the American media is clear and documented. It doesn't matter how small the story, they will either skew it to push gun control or, if that's not possible, bury it.
If it makes you feel any better we get a story about american guns every year or so there seems to be a mass shooting that makes the news here. Thus your guns are making the news here.
Yep, but the machete story posted here didnt make our news. It probably didnt go national for you guys either. Not because news are pro or anti machetes or guns, just because the stories do not have the interest factor as say the terrorist attacks in europe, all gone wild where the main weapon is a vehicle.
I have seen / stopped machete attacks in other Countries, I never thought it a reason to stop people from carrying them, farmers would have a machete in a leather scabard on their belt, sort of open carry.
