Its funny, libs will say this about the war of northern agression, but want the US to give back land to the native americans, reperations to blacks of slavery decent, and if we were to take Iraqs oil, OMG the crap that would come from liberals would be intense.

Wars of agression to those that are close minded are only "good" when they agree with the rewritten history of why it happened.

The confederecy never tried to take over anyone elses land. They never invaded till they were provoked. Very different than Nazis and Germany.

The initial war perhaps. The union failed miserably at Reconstruction.

That is like saying all of CA is a bunch of leeches and deadbeats, when it really is only thr major urban areas like LA, Sacremento, and Oakland. The south has PARTS that are still back woods hickville, but that doesn't make it all that way. Try to contain your bigotry towards the south, there are many down here that have no racism or bigotry towards anyone.

Glad I can make you laugh, now try refuting the rest of the post if you can.

The South was the first to ask for 75,000 volunteers to attack Americans?

The South trampled the North burning city after city, farm after farm, raping women after women, plundering town after town?

The South implemented martial law and suspended Habius Corpus?

The South imprisoned thousands of journalists that went against their political ideals?

The South started the first draft?

Everything you just wrote has no bearing on what you said earlier....that the South was treasonous. What is 'right' and what is legal are not necessarily the same thing. Treason is a crime. There is no evidence of treason on the South's part.

I showed where Jeff Davis was not guilty of treason and you go back to talking about slavery. It may be a moral wrong, but was completely legal at the time. If you'd like to discuss who had the moral high ground, that's fine, but let's not confuse morality with legality.

The south did fire on Fort Sumter starting the Civil War, don't cry the north slapped them down. States rights lost in a big way. The federal government has control over the states. Deal with it.

How many people died from SC firing on the fort that was occupied by tresspassers?

So war for your own ideology over cotton is ok, but war in Iraq from liberals assumption over oil is wrong?

What trespassers? SC was part of the US before the war. The south is a bane on the rest of the country with their bigoted way, assbackwards mentality, and "1950's" style thinking. Your kind is hated and rightfully so.

And you have no biggotry? Like I said before, you painting the entire south with that brush is like saying all of CA are bunch of freeloading, thuglife, government leeches that dont work cause of LA, Oakland, and Sacramento.

And yesm they were trespassers cause once SC ceceded, they no longer had any right to stay in that fort under union flags.

An illegal succession mind you. Thats because the majority of the south is a bunch of worthless bigots who go around thumping their silly little bible and forcing their believes on everyone else.

Where is that in the constitution? I see states have rights, I don't see anywhere where the federal government can force a state to stay in the VOLUTARY union. The federal government is beholden to the states, as the EU is. If a state wanted to leave for any reason, there is nothing to stop them other than force. No legality.

Funny, ask a liberal for proof, and they declare victory without a single link. Sure do love your strawmen dont ya?

Sorry the articles of confederation were a failiure. The constitution gives the federal government power over the states. Federal law trumps state law 10 out of 10 times. Once again your argument falls flat.

That doesn't mean a state cant leave the union on its own will. If Alaska or HI wanted to leave, or anyother state, there is no, NO legal or constitution provision that stops them from doing so of their own free will.

Actually the Confederates fired at a supply ship trying to restock Ft. Sumter. That was enough to enrage Lincoln to start a campaign that killed over 700,000 people and injured millions more. The day the South lost the war, is the day the Federal Government took away the sovereignty the Forefathers fought so ardently for. The Southerners that started the war stayed in power. The KKK became so popular 'taming' the black population, they got their biggest fan club in the North. Slaves essentially went from property to impoverished nuisances with little next to no rights. If the North wasn't so 'aggressive', the black population could have had a dramatically softer release from slavery into free society. Confederate Day is a state holiday in most Southern States btw.

To restore it's place in history , you should display it in the little boys room....just under the urinals.
