Depends on how many people stopped watching football because of it... those that complained yet kept watching could've have really been all that bothered by it.
No, how many stopped watching is immaterial to the number of whiners in the media, on social media, and in general discussion who were horrified by the "lack of respect". The fact those that where whining kept watching is yet another indication of that irony is extinct in trumpland. As to a measure of how bothered they were by it, I suppose just braying with the usual crowd is enough "membership" in the clan to some.
Not real sure what that means... but I stick to my original statement that I don't expect a lot of reason from folks who invest a lot of their time and energy watching rich people play a sport. Be they Trump supporters or not.
