The reporting on this has been typically terrible with some news accounts claiming she was fired, others saying she transferred out and others just claiming she is now gone which is undoubtedly true but lacking in detail.

 

Not exactly the media's fault. Starbucks reps initially implied a "mutual" separation, then switched gears and stated that the manager left herself.

That's the mentality that you can see in the photographs of smiling on-lookers (together with their wives and children) in the foreground of black men hanging in the trees.

 

People with no proof at all to go on want this incident to be all about racism. They need to feel like black people here are being oppressed
and they must right this wrong and oppose evil racists. It sets off certain parts of their brains like a Christmas tree all festooned with colorful blinking lights.

We are all asked to presume that the Starbucks manager was a common bigot,
chucking black customers out of her store (though customers actually buy
products and engage in an exchange of money for services...something the two loiterers cannot claim) though no one can cite any evidence of her racism prior to this.

However I've posted a couple of links to news reports how Starbucks has been cracking down on "lap top hobos"...people who loiter in their shops stealing their electricity, wifi, their space, reading their newspapers,using the restroom, etc. all without spending a nickle at Starbucks itself. "Free riders" Obama called people like that in a healthcare context.

The interesting part is these people who have been ejected from Starbucks for loitering are presumed to be white, or mostly white, as the
base of Starbucks customers are. There is absolutely no racial dimension to the war against lap top hobos at all. None! Zero!
Just as there is no outrage or moral indignation over this issue at all! None! Zero!

Because when whitey gets tossed out of Starbucks for loitering and treating it like a parasite treats a host organism it's no big deal.
But when two black guys get tossed out for precisely the same reason....well that's outrageous and some people are invoking the memory of lynchings and other racial atrocities in the worst case of overwrought hyperbole ever!

I believe that there is a concerted effort to perpetuate racial strife and division in this country and the media obviously plays a HUGE role in that, by constantly feeding the public with outrageous and provocative stories of racial tension.

All designed to keep white people and minorities (particularly black people) angry with each other.

All this racial division (as well as division along other political issues) only serves to keep the general public divided, meanwhile the politicians continue to enrich themselves, at the expense of the citizens.

The manager was tasked with getting the epidemic of free loaders and loiterers out of the central Philadelphia Starbucks.

That's why she personally asked the two black gentlemen to order (after one them wanted to use the bathroom). It's pretty stupid to keep stating you can order whenever you want when management says something different.

Why these two didn't wait outside of Starbucks until this businessman got there
since they refused to order anything anyway is another good question you can't answer.

Haha whatever. I just find this to be so stupid that they called the cops. It's a ****ing starbucks. The employees make crap for pay, they sell over priced coffee and food (a bottle drink there was 5 bucks when I went this morning). The people who chill there also bring in business. People conducting meetings, people meet up on tinder dates, some people buy and some don't. The point of starbucks and coffee chains is to be a hangout zone.

Some people just won't buy 5 dollar coffee because they are waiting for a friend, or they are waiting out a storm.

I can understand if these two men walked into Apple store and just sat on the ground and started hanging out...but this is a ****ing coffee shop.

 

In this particular case of these two young men, I fully believed race was involved. I didn't at the beginning when this came out, but now I think it involves racism on the employee part.

It is just amazing how some folks don't understand that you don't run a tab at Starbucks, if someone is buying I am going to wait for them to arrive before I order. I have never seen a case where you tell the waitress or host that all of my party hasn't arrived so I am going to wait to order and they tell you to get out.

It's obvious of folks who have never been to a Starbucks before.

 

I hardly buy things at starbucks. I used to conduct meetings there. Only one or two people would actually buy something
