Back when America was great, using the word "dude" were fighting words.

    FYI:
"Awesome" was something you feared but respected like America's enemies are in awe with a U.S. Marine and his rifle.

What is the methodology of the GOBankingRates analysis ?? Why no link to it ?? Was this adjusted for inflation ??

All they did is take a survey and then apply some completely undefined increase estimates to it. They claim that the cost to live comfortably went up ~ 36% in one year in Colorado Springs ?? Come'on man - that's ridiculous. If you are trying to make a point do some homework.

Why don't you do the homework as opposed to just saying 'I don't believe it'.

The article refers to a number of surveys and studies which they used to come up with the conclusions. They also explain which methodology they used ( 50-30-20 budgeting rule).

You should know those details if you are arguing the point.

Um, do you not understand how the CPI is calculated?

The CPI is calculated using the prices for a variety of items and services in 83 geographical areas in the US. Those items and services include the cost of housing, the cost of rents, the cost of electricity, natural gas and gasoline, the cost of private school tuition, the cost of university tuition, the cost of clothing, apparel and accessories, meats, fruits and vegetables, healthcare, transportation and a host of other things.

The Cost-of-Living is a reflection of the CPI in each area.

Well, then, you know the article is wrong and nothing but a disinformation propaganda piece.

No. At least you have failed to prove how it it wrong. I actually posted how the CPI is calculated, so why do you ask if I know how they compute it?
