Could ninety percent of gloom and doom prophecies be an alegory?

You don't think the Jews are still acting like the Hebrew patriarchs anymore though,... right?
They once said the same things about attacking sexually promiscuous societies, just as the muslims do now.

I see Jews acting very much as Christians do.
They pay attention to different holidays, and ignore Jesus.
But they are not an eye for an eye people any longer.
They are charitable.

They act very much as do the Christians.

 

The iron age readers were not the people who wrote what the Bible says though.

They were too ignorant back then to understand the facts of creation.
What was written could not be any more clearly written, nor in any greater detail, than what Genesis says.

Your initial premise that the Bible is dead wrong is what you defend here regardless of how much it can be seen as correct now.

Well................. I have to admit that until I began to read NDE accounts my own understanding of the Jewish and Christian Bible was astonishingly simplistic.

I read much of the book of John over these past few days....(the internet wasn't working and we had to buy a new router).... and I saw much of this book in a whole new light due to what near death experiencers had reported viewing!

You are correct..... I am extremely thankful to the people who have tried their best to describe what they saw. I do feel like I am on at least a higher level than I was back in 1985.... when I felt that Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong might well be the final Elijah..... as well as perhaps one of the two witnesses.......

 

But you know what...… Richard Dawkins Ph. D. is also capable of being self-righteous.... even though of course it manifests in a different way.
