Trump's plan is to build a wall of china across the entire border, he has no plan, he just wants to slap his "trump" logo on it

I am talking about the actual election, but if you say Trump represents republicans moral and political values better, maybe your right

Before there was a U.S. Border Patrol, the Texas Rangers patrolled the border along the Rio Grande.

The Texas Rangers killed more Mexicans than any other law enforcement agency in America.
The same is true with killing Comanches.

Why would you wish to "set up a tent" on the Texas-Mexico border, anyway?

And even if you did--which I simply cannot wrap my head around--why not just set it up on this side of the wall? What is so very special about its being precisely on the border, anyway?

It would be a social experiment in pushing the legal boundaries and the capacity to enforce the law.

But you already said there probably won't be a wall there anyway.

The governments primary duty is to insure the security of the nation. To this point they have been neglegent in that duty and many citizens have suffered as a result.
It is time to build the wall and for the government to do its job.

The sticking point is the nonsensical direction in total.

There are just too many parts that aren't addressed, and all we have is an administration playing around with nonsense that does NOT solve anything and IS disgusting treatment of human beings.

We need an actual, real, implementable overall plan. And, I don't see Republicans working for that today.

At one time, they did. The bipartisan immigration reform of 2013 DID get Republican support as the fact that it passed in the Senate and would have passed in the House hand Republican Speaker Boehner not blocked it.

The direction is supposed to be placing the welfare of US citizens first. Trump does, Democrats don’t.

Secure the border first and then implement policies resulting in legal status to the productive and deport the criminals and freeloaders.

But the Democrats want amnesty first then naturalizing every former illegal alien as citizenship.

The Democrats never want the borders secured.

Without open borders the Democrats don't have a platform to run on, amnesty and poverty.

It also cuts into Native American land, which is not subject to eminent domain. Trump has actually said that he doesn't care, and will take the land anyway. If he does this. it would be a violation of federal law, and possibly even a high crime.

Like it would be the first time we took Native American land..... We could always give them back Detroit, it will soon be abandoned anyway...

Exactly. And by not securing the border the amnesty program becomes an illegal immigration magnet.

I am surprised Trump has not tried to take down the statue of liberty yet or change the words on it

No but now we have laws which specifically protect reservations as soveraign land, and prohibit the government from taking it. And unlike back then, we now allow native Americans to sue in federal court. So we can't just decide to not honor our agreements like we did back then.

Trump policies have resulted in a record low number of citizens having health coverage.

That is a significant assault on the welfare of US citizens. And, it's not the only one.

The thing about immigration is that there is a constellation of issues. Building some more wall addresses only about half those who come here. And, it absolutely is NOT going to stop people from coming here illegally. It's only one border. And, that border is NOT being made anywhere close to perfect.

Why would you insist on attacking only HALF the problem (as if there is ANY plan to do that, which there absolutely is NOT) when the 2013 bipartisan bill addresses the WHOLE problem???

If you cared at all about this problem, you would be interested in solving the whole problem.

    But, you are not!

Tell that to the Sioux - from a distance, I would suggest.

No. It’s increased tax revenues from the USMCA.

Those without health insurance do so by choice.

Illegal immigration is addressed by first securing the border and then implementing a plan to address those here illegally. Read Jeb Bush’s book. It’s a very good plan.

Not being able to afford something isn't "choice".
