Good for you I'm glad you like your heritage. In the United States it's not that important where your family came from. There's some people that place a lot of importance on it their identity is German ancestry or Scottish or French is very meaningful to them. Others like myself it isn't.

Having my own accomplishments to be proud of is more important to me thinking about people millennia before I was born and their accomplishments.
