That's great! Why don't you make a topic about regular slavery that has nothing to do with race. I'll stick with my point in a topic about CRT, that This was what was known as Chattel slavery. It was also race specific, i.e only so called Black race was to be enslaved. Have you heard of Chattel slavery, it was created by the white man in America?

I am on topic, just cause you don't like my opinion, doesn't make it off topic, lol

it was created by a white Christian man, as they thought they had the God given right to own slaves, and they got that idea from the Bible

some want to blame modern day white people for the crimes of past white Christians that bought slaves from black people?

none of us were alive back then, time to stop the blame game, blame the people of the past, not the present

my comments have to do with why those bad white Christians endorsed slavery, they thought they had a God given right to own slaves (and the rest were quite as they liked cheap stuff) - it was good white Christians along with other good people that fought for their freedom

When exactly did I express support for it? Can you quote me?

"Patriotism" is an ugly word for alot of liberals/leftists. I'm glad that you are okay with it, but it's not as objective as you make out. You don't think that everyone on the left would agree with you on this subject, do you?

Simple question: Do you believe that an individual, by virtue of his or her race or sex, bears responsibility for actions committed in the past by other members of the same race or sex, and do you believe that an individual should be made to feel discomfort, guilt, anguish, or any other form of psychological distress on account of his or her race?

That's alot of "you, you, you." When did say ANY of that? Can you quote me?

I'm not trying to blame all modern white folk. I'm merely pointing out historic facts that modern white try to hide and are petrified of it being told in the school rooms. Facts like American whites are THE ONLY PPL TO EVER PRACTICE RACEIAL SLAVERY

Well except for the Muslim Arabs who castrated their black slaves. Their slave trading existed BEFORE Europe discovered America and existed long after it ended in the Western world.

    https://www.fairplanet.org/dossier/beyond-slavery/forgotten-slavery-the-arab-muslim-slave-trade/

More blacks are enslaved today than were enslaved at the height of chattel slavery. Modern slavery doesn't matter does it? Only the slavery that happened centuries ago matters. Who gives a damn about slavery we could stop today when there is past slavery that we can crusade against for political power.

Whites did much worse things than castration, one hundred times worse, you will not hide these facts Brother! I will not go into great detail because painting pictures of black suffering is what the devil wants, let me just say the torture inflicted upon black folk in America resulted in death.

This is an American forum, where we discuss Americans involvement in things, if you want to exclusively talk about Arab thing go join an Arab forum ok Brother. I'm not interested in Arabs, maybe you are. Wouldn't mind yourself a little Arab poontang huh? You wouldn't be the first Brother! Why do you think they keep them covered up and as far away from the white man as possible?

Don't act like you all of a sudden you give a damn about slavery today. You couldn't care less and frankly neither could I, it's in no way comparable to the brutality of what your forefathers did for hundreds of years all for what? A fake dollar bill?

Well, ihope you live in a big house with a brand new SUV because if you don't....then idont know what went wrong..

    So- what is CRT?
    Really?

On one hand, without question- It's a dodge, a transfer of responsibility for personal actions. While it's true that racism once was a common discrimination, society has recognized that and virtually wiped it out.
However the idea that every challenge of life is due to discrimination for black people but not for white people- is neither real nor rational today. The very concept of telling people they are systemically oppressed provides a path for that person to blame their failure to thrive on the "oppressors", and to promote a hostility over a perceived entitlement that has not been paid to them. You literally create a segment of society that is unable to partner with society- you generate a hostility in them, and that handicaps those people. Human nature wants to blame your troubles on something beside self, but that insures your troubles will continue- and that you will fail to take control, take responsibility for your own decisions. The concepts of CRT promote that. They put a chip on the shoulder of all the black believers, thus they prove to themselves that racism exists when that attitude shuts them out of jobs and relationships. White believers may support the illusion- giving the black believers confidence in their perception that racial injustice is the only reason they aren't generally loved by others.

The psychology of CRT is detrimental to all who believe it or support it. It doesn't correct racism- it promotes it. It's one of the ideas that have grown out of the liberal minds that selectively gather "facts" to support a preconceived notion, then try to make it common consensus.

Example would be the allegation that our prison population is proof of racial discrimination against blacks, because across the board they are the majority in most prisons. IF that is all you look at, it would appear to be true. However, if you look at the ratio of crimes committed by race, the picture changes drastically. While only 13% of Americans are black- they commit 53% of the murders. Similar ratios hold true with armed robbery and most serious crimes. The common crime of felonious assault for example-
The odds of a white person being assaulted by a black person are 42 times that of a black person being assaulted by a white person.
That is a behavioral characteristic that correlates to race as a common denominator- and it will result in the negative perception of people of that race. Not discrimination, not racism- but observation of facts.

This is true in many aspects of life. Conduct defines us, both individually and by the group we are part of, be that race or religion or political position. Regardless of what we claim to be- what we do is who we are, and it is just and proper that we be seen and treated according to that- because our conduct IS our choice, in our own hands to control. It's where the power to control your own life is at.
If you selectively ignore facts that disprove a "theory", you can make it look legitimate- but it will not be so. The CRT concept does not resolve any racial issues. It actually resurrects racism and promotes it.
WHO would want to do that? WHY? Those are the questions to ask, regardless of your race.

Slavery existed among all races and was destroyed by whites. If not for whites slavery would still exist today.

I've found that to be true as well.
However slavery does still exist today- and the place it thrives is Africa, where an estimated 9 million people are still slaves.
Slavery existed there a thousand years before Europeans ever set foot there- and when slavery spread to the new world plantations, the slaves were captured and sold into slavery by black people, not white ones.
Less than 4% of the slaves involved in that trade ever came to the United States, and no other nation gave so much to end it as Americans did. Facts that make little difference to those who see the promotion of racism as valuable today.

Still, whites were the only race to abolish slavery and force other countries to do so. If not for whites there would still be slavery. Whites are a great people for getting rid of that practice.

That is Africa, not here, although there is an estimate of some 50,000 slaves here, usually in the sex industry trade in questionable "massage parlors."

White ppl also established an apartheid regime in South Africa so they could look all the mineral wealth. They still control the largest mines. There's still work to be done to tackle the lingering purveyors of racist government

Well if we are going to try and villify a specific race as to be inheriently evil due to past actions...I see no problem looking over yonder to see who is doing what to whom.

I do not blame all arabs or all blacks for CURRENT slavery. They had nothing to do with it. Just as I don't see how anyone white or otherwise has anything to do with previous slavery we fought a war to end in this nation.

And if blacks or arabs want to get on our moral level, have them fight a civil war to end slavery over there. Then we can talk on level standing. Until then...I'd say whites are pretty *******n great!

It was the "mark of Cain" that has been used to describe black people. The Southern Baptist Association did this and preached on this in the 1950s, 60s, 70s, and early 80s. The Sourthern Baptist Assocaion has since apologized for that type of preaching.

In addition, in Leviticus 25: 44-46 explicitly makes it okay. In the Pauline Letters in Galatians, Colossians, and Ephesians, Paul writes how masters should treat their slaves and how slaves should show the love of christ when they are slaves. The emphasis in the Pauline letters was not that slavery was okay or not, but how, in the circumstances a person might be in, would show what a Christian believes and should act. Agape love was being taught here as Christ showed Agape love towards us.
