The situation may not have been handled the best, but that man did put himself in that situation.

These things can happen so fast, officers have to react fast, sometimes before they can fully think about the situation.

Agree with you on this. How would they test for cowards? How would it be best to train them. This is ridiculous. Though, I must say, he should never have gone to the store to argue with his girlfriend and have a gun on him. That raised red flags that he is an abusive man who was going to shoot his girlfriend for infidelity.

Telling him go put the gun down and then shooting him for doing as told is murder, in my opinion and they should be punished to the full extent of the law. This fear has to stop. Just because he is a black man, doesn't mean he is a bad guy. What a hell of a shame. It's likely no one will be prosecuted. I'm pretty sick of it. Where is justice?

It's the exact reason why if you watch every video of White suspects, surrending their weapons, you will see the same type of suspect-movements without cops shooting the suspect.
