The left-allied Mainstream Media has worked very, very hard since 2008 to lose the public's trust all on its own by openly working for the DNC. Nobody ordered the MSM to become the permanent political propaganda arm of the Democratic Party and so they and their shills and supporters have got no one to blame but themselves. All Trump is doing is putting a name to what the rest of the nation has increasingly become aware of for many years now, that the political Left controls the MSM and so the MSM is NOT to . . . be . . . trusted.

Economy was great, USA was at near Full Employment. Corporations making record profits. Housing sales thru the roof.

Trump tried rushing thru trash Healthcare Bills. Patriotic Republicans voted against.

Republicans are rushing thru a Partisan Tax Cut for the Wealthy that will add to the Deficit that 27 % of Americans are against.

World Leaders rally against Trump realizing America can't be counted on. Trump has escalated tensions with North Korea.

No Trump has made the world unstable and much much worse.......... He's in it just for himself

 

Don't be too anal about the %. The point I was trying to get across is they are usually more right than wrong, and sometimes getting things wrong doesn't make them fake news. I think their accuracy is higher than 80%.

Unless of course, you are a liar, which Donald Trump is. He habitually lies to make him look better, and calling MSM fake news is a lie of that nature.

No, but I think the watchdogs get most of their stories right and I would be a fool to dismiss them entirely because their accuracy isn't 100%.

I dismiss what most polititians say most of the time. I pay attention to their actions.

As to the news, I choose my sources more carefully.

Getting a significant majority of stories correct, and only having a tiny handful out of tens of thousands be incorrect is not fake news. The fact you can count on your fingers the corrections a year for each publications, out of 10,000s each put out is striking. And those handful of unintentionally incorrect stories are quickly corrected or retracted. People are fired or suspended. This is high accountability to the statistically rare event stories are off.

That objectively isn't fake news. Using blanket statements and saying all media except far far right organizations are "fake" is simply untrue factually speaking.

Fake news would be Infowars, Gateway Pundit, The Pizzagate Cernovich, Veritas, and Trump Twitter. Significant amounts of incorrect information, and very little corrections.

Which is why those things are rated lower for trust than "MSM" in several studies and polls. But I know you won't contest this fact.

I think it is much worse than Trump being a liar... I think he believes most of what he says, esp off the cuff.

Depends on the news I am looking for. I like AP and BBC, CSPAN, POGO... congress.gov actually. I like NPR typically as well. I like the guardian, even when their biases show, because their news is usually distinguished frop their op ed.

I listen to FOX and CNN despite their bias and inaccuracy, primarily due to their resources, then I look for confirmation. I also look here, and treat this place much the same.

The illegal arming of bad people... the **** that went down in Lybia and Syria.
