Texas and Florida (illegally) have been using illegal immigrants as political pawns. Using human beings this way, using trickery, is immoral. However, the states receiving them are showing fascists DeSantis and Abbott how leaders who still believe in democracy and the rule of law handle this humanly.

The people are receiving humane treatment, legal advice, clothing, meals, ... and the children have already been enrolled in public schools
    https://nypost.com/2022/09/19/nyc-elementary-school-community-welcomes-dozens-of-migrant-students/

This is how you treat human beings.

To pull off this political scheme, DeSantis has allocated $12 million. Which means that Florida taxpayers will STILL have the expense, but won't enjoy any of the benefits. At a time when many employers in the state are desperate for unskilled workers, DeSantis move is as idiotic as any other he has undertaken.

LOL... the interesting factoid here is if not for the buses of illegals being sent to those states, there wouldn't be population growth there...Why? The socialist dictators who run those states are driving off their own populations at astounding rates.

I know!.... And they're coming here to Florida. What wouldn't I give to get rid of some of this racist dead weight we have been getting lately in exchange for some hard working immigrants!

    Hypocrite- Let those people in!
Hypocrite 2 days later- Don't you bring them to my state!

******* hilarious, the usual double standards at work by people who you'd think would welcome these invaders.

El Paso, O’Rourkes home town has been shipping illegals to NYC since August 23.

Newsom shipped his homeless people to other states.

LA gave bus tickets to Vegas to their homeless.

Chicago shipped illegals to a republican city.

Martha’s Vineyard, well, we all know what the democrats did there.

What the hell are you talking about? It's YOUR party that refuses to establish a sensible federal living wage for EVERYBODY (immigrant or not). Everybody should be making at least $15 an hour here in Florida. We are nowhere near that because of Republicans.

In fact YOUR party introduced a bill in Florida that would allow employers to pay less than minimum wage to illegal immigrants. While Democrats introduced one that would ENSURE illegal immigrants are paid at least the minimum wage. The Republicans in control buried both bills. But now you know who is seeking what.

So your projection is duly noted....

More deflection. Why? Don't you want folks to know you want your slaves back? The irony is that you have active candidates openly clamoring for just how useful all these illegal folks are going to be in filling the employment holes their covid policy created....

I feel your pain though, as Florida transitions from being purple to solidly red, folks like you may have to find a new place to attempt to dictate to.....

Sweet how about they get sent another 10,000 or so apiece, a minute fraction of what texas alone gets. And let’s see how well their system does then.

Biden flying immigrants to red states = not political pawns

Red states bussing immigrants to blue states=. Rawr political pawns! Me so mad!

But yeah let’s round them up and put them on military bases because Democrats are as racist as they are hypocritical.

Of course we all know Democrats are beyond doing this [extreme sarcasm].

Biden administration bused and flew migrants around the country
Are Migrant Children Being Secretly Resettled Across the US? - Liberty Nation

If you don’t think illegal immigrants are voting for president, think again | The Hill
"No, illegal immigrants aren't allowed to directly vote for the commander-in-chief yet, but in vast numbers they can dramatically alter the Electoral College to favor Democrats for at least a decade because a state’s electoral votes are based on the number of people residing within that state, not the number of citizens present when the Decennial Census is taken.
If a nefarious power grab seems far-fetched, ask yourself this - why are Democrats so intent on blocking the addition of a citizenship question to the 2020 Census?"

And then don't forget how Democrat politicians and activist organizations were trying to overwhelm detention holding facilities with migrant children, even as conditions were getting overcrowded and bad. Basking in all the media coverage of how children were suffering under terrible conditions under Trump, Democrats in Congress were refusing to allocate more money for the facilities (finally relinquishing funds at the last moment). And then hoping the holding facilities would be so bursting at the seams that the migrants would have to be released into the interior of the U.S., judges preventing Trump from turning the migrants away due to the wording of federal law.

That seems an awful lot like using them as pawns.

I don't know. I just now fascists Abbott and DeSantis did it. And, at least DeSantis, broke the law to do this (don't know about Texas law)

And then there's the question whether the migrants even should have the right not to be tricked, given that they had illegally entered the country.

Maybe if the Texas governor is clever enough, he will be able to figure out a way of tricking migrants to leave the country and go back to where they were before.

Florida officials said the migrants that were sent on planes to the Martha's Vineyard last week, which sparked a major backlash from Democrats, were "wandering the border" homeless in Texas before being intercepted by Florida to be given "a better life" in a sanctuary state.
"So the groups in Texas that we've identified, the majority if not all of the individuals that originated in Texas and ended up on the flight to Martha's Vineyard were indeed homeless, hungry, sleeping outside in parking lots," the officials said. "Many have been in a shelter at some point previously and had been kicked out, did not have a place to go, and essentially we're wandering homeless along the border."
The migrants were informed of their destination were given "multiple opportunities" to voluntarily take the trip or stay behind.

source: Migrants DeSantis sent to Martha's Vineyard were 'homeless,' 'hungry' before flight to island: FL officials, Jessica Chasmar, FOX News

As opposed to the liberal lefts support of illegal migration dumping them in border states solely for votes?

You have no evidence that they illegally entered this country. But, even if they did, they have the same constitutional rights you do (except some, like the right to vote)

    Are you serious?

If some of them are not outright illegals, I bet they are migrants who just showed up at the border and were told to apply under asylum seeker procedure, probably with no legitimate claim, but the Biden Administration is granting them a stay until a court can get around to sorting out their claim, which often takes more than two or three years since the immigration courts are overwhelmed.

"The average immigration case completed in January 2022 had been pending for about two and a half years, with some courts seeing average waits in excess of three years."

That's actually not true. But it's a mostly moot point.

(I'll be happy to debate it with you in another thread, if you wish to post a link here)

How about immigrant sanctuary states swap second amendment enthusiasts for immigrants with second amendment sanctuary states? Seems like a win for both.

Plus, those buses have to drive back to Florida and Texas, the bus ride is already there ready to be used!

Of course! Read my sig! By far the majority of illegal aliens entered the country legally.

Clearly you have no idea what you're talking about. The laws that border agents are following have been in the books for decades. They were NOT passed by the Biden administration.

You didn't know that most illegal aliens enter legally, you didn't know that immigration is just following the law. Nothing personal, but it would be useless to discuss with you a topic with which you are this unfamiliar.

    Thanks anyway....

Score another thing about illegal immigration you didn't know: that they have constitutional rights.

Again, nothing personal. I just prefer to debate with people who are familiar with the topic they are debating.

Wrong!!!! But I know that right wingers get their misinformation about immigration from the same sources (Tucker, Breitbart, Alex Jones, ...) so it's no wonder they don't know much about the topic. Even though several of us have opened threads to attempt to educate them.
