Let’s research it http://mobile.abc.net.au/news/2013-08-09/report-finds-teens-ignorant-about-contraception/4875884 And this is in Australia which is waaaaaay less prudish than America Just judging though by the sheer number of anti abortion posters on this forum who rave about irresponsible (read slut) women who get pregnant. I have lost count of the number I have had to educate on the realities of contraception
I'm not dumb enough to fall for Christianity. Even before I entered kindergarten, I could clearly see how silly it all was. I find it rather funny, you here trying to pretend you have the moral high ground. After all, we all know that nonbelievers make up about a quarter of the population. Yet less than 1% of the of prisoners, in US prisons and jails are nonbelievers. That means 99.9% of criminals are god believers. You aren't exactly on the side of the good guys.
Obama pardoned traitors like manning and traded 5 terrorists for a deserter. Obama did not care about "innocent" with his pardons.
So you want to execute children before they commit a crime, but support pardoning adults after they are convinced of committing crimes. That's liberal logic....
A start might be paid maternity leave. That is always a personal favourite to induce collective conniptions among the anti aborts
Who is going to pay for this "paid" maternity leave? A company with 25 employees would have to ban hiring any females of child bearing age.
Good point. Defining morality is like trying to define why chocolate ice cream tastes better than vanilla.
Don't you have an opinion? Give me your estimate? How many pregnancies occur when women don't know sex causes pregnancy? I say <1/5%. What's your estimate?
It was spread across several posts, but it goes like this: In order to reduce unwanted pregnancies, we need to embrace policies that make it so the mother does not feel these pregnancies are a burden to her. One of the policies I suggested was fully paid maternity leave. As you stated, this could mean that products are more expensive and perhaps a bit of wage stagnation. That is how this is linked.
Some people are totally ignorant of the fact that people do not use abortion as a birth control method. It seems as if that is a popular belief among those type of people who go to the mega churches and or get their "religion" from fraudlike televangelists.
I didn't say the government should teach morality. Reading comprehension isn't your strong suit, is it? Tell me the parts that confused you and I'll explain them in further detail.
That is because they believe that sex education is a "how to" course or a how to have sex for dummies.
Thank you for the explanation. I see where you are going with it. I don't agree because it ignored human nature. As an employer, I do my best to no not to dismiss a young lady, but I also have to think about the other employees. I have several families that rely on me to keep their jobs viaible. My employees have mortgages, kids, tuition, pregnancies, parents to care for, babies on the way, kid soccer, kids with medical conditions. Employers have more responsibility on their shoulders than most other people can fathom.
Which is another reason all of this is primarily religious based. "Go out and be fruitful" is a Christian maxim. Abortion, Sex Ed and contraceptives are contrary to that maxim. Not to mention the whole ideology of keeping women barefoot and pregnant.
They might be ignorant or they might be falsifying facts in order to push a political agenda. I'm sure some are smart enough to know they are pushing a lie, but others strike me as being just plain stupid.
You asked a moot question. Since I never said government should teach morality I cannot explain why they should. Duhhhh.. Try asking a real question.
