An FBI affidavit states that after crashing his car, Bolling got out and tried to walk past the gate where he was stopped by three special agents. Bolling refused instructions to sit on the curb and resisted arrest when the agents tried to take him into custody, according to the charging documents.

I understand being passionate about an idea or working to further a goal but the worship of a man — especially a man like trump — is perplexing.

I never though the party of guns and god would fall down to worship such a person that cares about neither but I guess the indoctrination has been successful

 

It think it’s more that they have found someone that voices their fears, hatreds and grievances rather than that they have been indoctrinated into it.

And social media gives mindless attention to the lowest common denominators so the culture gets dragged down into the sewer where the worst elements in society peddle their notions.
We should be thankful that they are a minority, but the arcane electoral rules we have make it possible for a demagogue to win an election, so they are still a danger.

Just look at the ME, pretty uniform and homogenized people that have had a wedge driven by tribalism, most of these people look the same, eat the same and ultimately pray to the same GOD. The **** works on a good 40% of the population that just want to lay blame and hate on something for their woes, perceived or not.

Donald Trump has not done one thing in his life that could even be remotely recognized as serving anoyone but himself.

The right doesn't see Donald Trump the man, they see the myth, and its amazing to watch that myth grow, in light of all the facts that are staring them right in the face. It is the very definition of idolatry, yet I cannot for the life of me, understand how he can be seen as that, with all the evidence to the contrary. There is literally no evidence of the man, thruout his life that would explain the level of idolatry imposed on him by the right. And as a matter of fact, their are mountains of evidence to the contrary

I always knew that this country/experiment in democracy was going to end at some point, but to have it end at the hands of a false idol is just amazing to watch

We have people with similar mindsets here in Florida. The guy below was a member of the new "Florida State Guard", which is basically DeSantis private army (they answer to him only), was arrested for wanting to kill Jews and Palestinians and “blow up” a military base. Its the same breed of people, like the MAGA-Bomber who sent the bombs to CNN and other news outlets.
