DeSantis’ anti-woke law remains blocked in Florida colleges

The populist seeming pro-racist law signed by DeSantis has been blocked in federal court yet again.

The law, forbidding teaching about racial constructs and ideals, seemingly due to white fragility, apparently will be appealed by the pro DeSantis factions.

Florida remains unable to enforce the “Stop-WOKE” law touted by Gov. Ron DeSantis in light of a federal appeals court ruling Thursday that keeps the policies on hold for colleges and universities.

The 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals denied a request from the DeSantis administration and higher education officials to block an injunction that determined the law restricting how race can be taught in schools was unconstitutional, ensuring that state officials are barred from carrying out the measure for now. While the groups that challenged the state are claiming victory over the ruling, DeSantis officials say the state will ultimately prevail once the case is heard.

Christopher Rufo is eviscerating the education the bureaucracy in Florida... replacing top administrators with conservatives. They are directly targeting progressives for termination. When the people who want to install CRT are all gone, progressives have no way to get their poison in. It will be right wing propaganda for Florida students and left wing propaganda will be eradicated. Elections have consequences, this is one of them. We live in a Democracy, if progressives are angry about this, they need to convince Florida voters of their case. Given the overwhelming results of the last Florida election all I can say is good luck with that.

I think about the 15 year boys that have their penises hacked off by corrupt doctors and I realize that progressives have a different different idea of what is horrifying. Progressives would think of such mutilation and life ruination as "gender affirming care". I think that people with that view should never be in a position that allows them access to children. Christopher Rufo agrees and so the voters of Florida. You are free to try to convince the voters of Florida differently. Good luck with that.

PS: If you love our Democracy, then you must love the results of the election in Florida. You must also love that Florida politicians are enacting the will of the people who voted for them. That is what Democracy entails. Elections have consequences. The consequence of the Florida election is the protection of vulnerable children from a corrupt medical establishment that wants to turn them into transgender cash cows that will kill themselves in a decade or two.

I am with you, election has consequences and one must respect the election result . DeSantis is doing what Fl people elected him to do. That doesn’t mean DeSantis is right. Just because majority people voted for DeSantis doesn’t mean those who disagree with him has to shut up. As you said it is all about democracy. In democracy minority can speak up and protest.

Two way DeSantis agenda can be stopped; legal system and in election. So far legal system stopped DeSantis on this specific issue, we will see what happens when it goes to higher court. Second option is to change voter’s mind. As far as I can tell FL became more and more red every election. I hardly doubt we will see a Dem in Governor’s office in Fl anytime soon.

But can you educate me what is the percentage of young boys changing their sexuality? I really don’t care if .05% Floridian or American change their sexuality. We have much more important things to worry about.

 

DeSantis care only one thing, get GOP nomination in 2024. He thinks he can go all the way to right and defeat Trump in primary and then swing back to middle and win over suburban mom in Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Atlanta and Phoenix to win general election. Using the courts usurps Democracy. It the method that Democrats have gotten nearly all of their victories. They could not get gay marriage through the ballot box so they got it through the courts.

Regarding transgenderism: according to the New York Times the number of trans teens has doubled in in just a couple years. This is a terrifying trend with long term consequences for America. This is proof that life destroying mental illness can be created by political propaganda. Transgenderism is a social contagion that must be killed in the cradle before it destroys America. It is capitalism run amok by creating billions of dollars of profit for corrupt medical institutions. The long term cure may be the billion dollar lawsuits that will eventually be brought by the millions of kids who lives were destroyed. Lawsuits have already be filed by detransitioners and if they win, the feeding frenzy of lawyers will begin. The big worry is that the progressive left will use the courts to make it illegal to for the harmed parties to seek redress for their injuries. This is similar to how the progressive left has made big pharmaceutical companies immune from lawsuits for their bad "vaccines".
