Why in the world would professors need to be afforded "academic freedom of speech" with no repercussions or consequences from their employers or their customers?

Absolutely, 1000%.

I work in the private sector, started a firm from the ground up, employ 10 people, and compared to teaching.... absolutely, yes. Way way way easier.

You mean indoctrination?

I don't have anything against professors, and their choice of profession. I have an issue with them putting themselves on some type of pedestal that they deserve special treatment as a result of their profession. Whether we like it or not, colleges and universities are businesses, and professors are not and should not be operating out of the concepts of a for profit enterprise. They deserve no special treatment.

 

There is a reason most college kids lean left, and it has absolutely zero to do with their intelligence, nor their own thought development process and objective thinking. It has 100% to do with indoctrination of naive minds by a group of people who feel they are special.

Kids aren't paying to go to school to have professors tell them how the real world works and fill them with political propaganda under the guise of "debate" by people who can't actually operate in the real world and feel they deserve special treatment.

Are you seriously pretending that Universities and Colleges are not largely responsible for indoctrination of left wing progressive concepts by a bunch of entitled professors?
