Oh, so Trump has no say so in what laws they try to pass?

He can have a say but beyond that, all he can do is pressure Congress and it's not working.

U.S. Births Dip To 30-Year Low; Fertility Rate Sinks Further Below Replacement Level

Immigrations is essential to the US. Without it, we are not replacing our own people fast enough. The DHS proposal is to limit legal immigration, while the rest of us argue about a wall that we don't need.

Right. He has an agenda, and the Republican'ts are supposed to go along with him, especially on something like eVerify. That was a major promise from Trump. Why is it not done?

Interesting. Does this have a time-limit? Is the person supposed to never ever use benefits for the duration of their life/legal American Status?

Absolutely, if you are talking about highly skilled laborers or educated professionals. But when you are talking about unskilled labor, diversity makes no difference.

There just isn't much need for diversity in low skilled jobs. At the end of the day, you just want someone who will give you 8 hours of work for 8 hours of pay. It would also be nice if they would learn English so they can communicate with their employers.

It sounds like you are comparing illegals to legals.

Not necessarily, but often they can be separated on that premise.

But if English is the language spoken in the company then folks whose first language is not English can create confusion through language misunderstandings.

That happens all the time with English speakers. Not much of an argument against diversity.

Back during the 1960's an immigrant couldn't use any welfare or social programs for ten years.

Today it's been dumbed down to 5 years.

Still on the books, all immigrants are suppose to have a sponsor in America who are suppose to reimburse the taxpayers for any welfare or social programs used by the immigrant who they are sponsoring.

The problem is, the federal government hasn't been enforcing the laws that are already are on the books.

The "Rule of Law" has been declared by the left to be politically incorrect.

I agree, and then add in English slang and worker's whose first language is not English become really confused. Then you have to take the time to explain what the slang means. When working in a technical field miscommunication can become very frustrating.

Why do we necessarily want to replace them at the same rate? Over population is already a problem in many countries.

Well, I have been in the military and worked as a technician at a national lab. Both places were highly diverse and language is an easy problem to get over.

We have a labor shortage for one. That is why Trump and the republican'ts have not mandated eVerify nationally.

Immigration exists to strengthen the nation, dead beats who can't support themselves are not strengthening the nation, they are drawing off of it like leeches. Diversity for the sake of diversity is idiotic, and offers no benefit whatsoever...

You know that you can work a full time job in this country and still require assistance right ?

Im not advocating for immigrants, just that the right has fought to keep wages low for years, and then claim that people who need assistance (even those who work full time) are worthless.

I was a sergeant in the US Army, living in on post housing with my wife and children, and we qualified for food stamps. I also served with immigrants who had there green cards in the same Army.
