Did these guys actually believe that they might be able to get away with it?

Please provide the actual statute in relation to 'collusion' and specifics on how he broke the law in relation to that specific statute. If you are just going to post leftist talking points I am not going to be able to have a serious discussion with you.

The Trump clan really think they are above the law.

The bad news? So far they have been right. Congress and the courts have done nothing to hold them accountable. Here is hoping that a Democratic House and the Mueller report will change all that. If not, we are in for a really lousy two years.

First no one has been convicted of collusion with Russia that is a figment of your imagination. No one has been convicted of Obstruction regarding collusion with Russia. That is also a figment of your imagination.

I'm not aware of any of those being indicted except Manafort. I'm not aware of any of the indictment or pleas having anything to do with Trump or collusion, except for Cohen who pleaded guilty to felonies that were not felonies.

    "Collusion"?

I can understand why the right is so obsessed with "collusion"/ Because it's a minor crime compared to others.

    Oh well... .here you go 18 U.S.C. § 371

As for "he".... there is a list of names there. Who specifically are you talking about when you say "how he broke the law"?

Anybody who wants to have a serious discussion with me will have to show they are serious. So the question is rather if I can have a serious discussion with you.

I think we're in for a really lousy two years regardless. But, in the end, Trump will be out of power and will have to answer for his actions. to criminal courts. If these two years will be lousy for us, think about how lousy the following two+ years will be for Trump.

Unbelievable how Trump loyalists have been taught to laser-focus on "collusion" despite the fact that it's the least of Trump's problems.. Now, of course, they have been taught that because it's the least of Trump's problems.

So, for example, you never read Papadopolous' (too lazy to look up how it's spelled) plea, huh?

Of course you haven't seen indictments having to do with Trump. Did you think Mueller would be so stupid to bring them up at this point?. You guys haven't figured out that you're dealing with a professional. To Trump's demise....

It is one of many things stated in your chart that is factually incorrect.

No I was right. In reality most of those indicted were for lying. Your chart isn't reality, its make believe of the left.

Conspiracy requires them to conspire to commit a crime. That means that only applies to Trump or whoever if they conspired with Russia to hack or illegally obtain the emails. It is not conspiracy to receive the information from Russia without ever having being a part of the crime committed to aquire the emails.

What are the more serious crimes?

It is illegal to conspire to receive a "thing of value" to the campaign from a foreign government.

I would say "abuse of power" is more serious. Actually., just about any of the ones mentioned are worse. This is why the right would love for Mueller to focus on collusion.

Papadopoulos' pled guilty to getting some dates wrong while talking to the FBI; had zero to do with Trump collusion.

You implied that Cohen, Manafort, Roger Stone, Flynn, Gates were indicted or pled guilty to things tied to Trump's "illegal" activity.

There you go .... As I said before, Trump loyalists are obsessed with "collusion". And, as I also said, because that's probably the least of his problems.

Nevertheless, Papadopoulos did confess to Trump campaign collusion. However, since Trump has refused to take responsibility for the Presidency, it's more than obvious that he will refuse to take responsibility for his Campaign.... So Trump loyalists see a path out of that one. Knowing that, who would be surprised that its the only thing they focus on.

I'm not referring to collusion. Or maybe I am... to a small degree. But I say again: from what we've seen it looks like that will be the least of Trump's legal problems.

You keep running away from "collusion", which is the foundation of Mueller's investigation. Can I assume, then, that you think Mueller's investigation into collusion should be over? Or do you not run away from collusion that much?.
It seems now your contention is that a bunch of people pled or were indicted for something and they also knew Trump. That is incredibly lame.
Papadopoulos did not confess to Trump campaign collusion in any illegitimate or nefarious way. He did not plead to any "collusion" nor was he charged with any. He said he talked to people who claimed to know some Russians who might have helpful information. (All of which is perfectly legal.) It's not like he offered money if they would write a dossier!

It was the beginning. And the investigation has uncovered criminal activity far worse than just "collusion"

I have no idea if the investigation on "collusion" is over or not. It would be pretty stupid to make a claim one way or the other without seeing his report. I have said again and again: collusion is the least of Trump's problem.

You are running to collusion. Can I assume that you believe it should be investigated at it's fullest? Or not so much if it touches some sort of "idol" of yours?

Certainly is. So I'm glad you said it, and not me. As a matter of fact, this insistence on "collusion" that the right has is, in itself, even more incredibly lame. Collusion is a fact! Trump collusion?.... who knows... Probably, but it's like focusing on whether or not thiefs who had robbed a bank, led the police in a wild car chase, causing multiple accidents.... were wearing their seat belts or not. You said it best: "incredibly lame"

So.... you think he confessed to Trump campaign failing to report that one of Trump's foreign policy advisers during the campaign had been in contact with representatives of the Russian government who offered a "thing of value" to the campaign... but did it in a saintly way?

I believe there is a term for that... It's something like "plow doll"?... "plaid dell"?.... oh.... I remember: "plea deal"!

    You've heard of it, right?

Muellers charge and authority was to investigate, "any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump." That was his official directive. Of course I am ignoring the real unsaid assignment to go find something -- anything -- that we can use to get rid of this neanderthal that had the gall to win the election.
Not what he pleaded to or was charged with, but yes. As I understand it he also confessed to eating breakfast the day of his interview.

No, there is more to Mueller's directive than that.

    https://www.nytimes.com/interactive...nt-Robert-Mueller-Special-Counsel-Russia.html

The Special Counsel is authorized to conduct the investigation confirmed by then-FBI Director James B. Comey in testimony before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence on March 20, 2017, including:

    (i) any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump; and

(ii) any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation; and

(iii) any other matters within the scope of 28 C.F.R. § 600.4(a).

The righties, to the person, seem to be in lock-step with asserting that "nothing has been found by Mueller". That's funny. Mueller is in the process of closing in on Trump and his family right now. When the final statements are received from Trump and all the data has been assembled in proper reports, Mueller will release his findings and not until then.

I'm anxious to see whether Trump's demise will produce frantic denials and abandonment of his Trumpezoids, or whether they will start a civil war over it and get mercilessly crushed by the authorities.
