NACLA (3/7/19) pointed out that Colombia, a Lima Group member, is number one in the world of recorded human rights defenders assassinations. Maduro is the perfect leader for Venezuela. Long may he maintain the status quo, and protect his people from the evils of capitalism.
So we don't respect democracy? Hypocrisy and screw democracy. And some of us are fine with that. WTF?
You should read the article for more info on the 2018 election and illegality of the coup. The election itself was fair but a couple of the candidates were blocked from running for questionable reasons. Other candidates boycotted it and told UN observers not to monitor the vote
They don't necessarily support Maduro. They support Chavez's legacy. Some of Maduro's harshest critics are Chavistas. One of Maduro's opponents in the last election was a Chavista, who would've won if the vote didn't get split with another candidate.
