Lonely old women seem to gravitate to cats, even today. This may be because cats will naturally take care of themselves while still rewarding even a little affection with unconditional love. Dogs OTOH, also love their owners but tend to be "needy" even malingering occasionally, something which cats almost never do as it defies their complete instinctual and behavioral repertoire

like all humans, they are born Atheists and as never learn the human language, never learn of human myths

that said, reincarnation is just as true for cats as humans

Are you cute and cuddly while being at the same time God's own killing machine? Make no mistake cats are matchless hunters, born butchers, and thoroughgoing assassins. Watch them eat sometime. They are clumsy and far from graceful, often dropping the bits from their mouths. That isn't because they don't know better, however, it's their teeth; they are made and designed for killing things, eating is secondary.

That being said they will welcome you in their heaven if you just scratch behind their ears.

You think that stops them being killers? I can only assume that you have never had a pet cat if you think that.

Cats are good at not letting us know their real personalities. All cats have 3 names, One is what we call it. The other is what other cats know it by, and the final one is known only to the cat itself, and no other creature ever will.

I had a big tom that would not even wake up when I had a mouse caught in a can and nearly dumped it directly on him, but I had another who I witnessed go unerringly to a shelf and pull one out of a box which I had not even suspected was there. Cats show as much variety in the inclination to use their natural talents as do humans and that is one reason we love them so.

Only because the definition of evil is human centric. Ever watch a cat torture a smaller animal apparently just for amusement.

No, it's called "practice". In the wild cats have to be good at catching things or they die and they learn by doing.

Evil is only possible in a creature that can reason and understand the concepts of right and wrong. Humans are unique in that we can know that we should not do something and still do it anyway

Not sure what cats believe, but here's what the (arguably) greatest scientist since Albert Einstein believed...

It's my view that the simplest explanation is that there is no God. No one created the universe and no one directs our fate. This leads me to a profound realisation: there is probably no heaven and afterlife either. I think belief in an afterlife is just wishful thinking. There is no reliable evidence for it, and it flies in the face of everything we know in science. I think that when we die we return to dust. But there's a sense in which we live on, in our influence, and in our genes that we pass on to our children. We have this one life to appreciate the grand design of the universe, and for that I am extremely grateful. -- Stephen Hawking, October 16, 2018

Granted, there's a chance (likely a slim one) that Hawk was wrong.

But if you're a believer, ya gotta ask yourself a question … Do I know more than Hawk did?

And I think we all know the answer to that one...

This song asks how someone who doesn't know who Jesus is can be saved.

There is no biblical evidence that hell is for non-humans. If we assume that the soul is immortal and that animals have souls, then it does follow that animals also have an afterlife. Maybe a special farm they go to after they die or spiritual world they can be a part of. It makes no sense to punish animals because they merely act out of instinct. Does it make sense to punish an agressive dog that bit people with eternal torture? I think its ridiculous, but I also think hell is ridiculous in general.
