Why does that matter? If one person were to commit a crime and perhaps got away with it, why does that give free license to someone else to commit crimes and get away with it?
The question is posed as Trump as President. So why not the same treatment President Clinton received? And legally Clinton didn't get away with it.
So, in your opinion, if one president breaks a law, and gets away with it, all future administrations should be exempt? Thats just stupid. If Clinton and Obama broke laws, they should be held accountable. Make your case and get them prosecuted. Or just be willing to admit that your willing to allow Trump to commit crimes in order to enact his draconian legislation. Dont hide from it. Own it.
I didn't say that at all, try again. The Democrats in the Congress knew full well Clinton committed perjury and obstruction of justice and subornation of perjury. Charges brought by then Independent Counsel Ken Starr. They decided that does not arise to impeachment and removal from office. So the legal charges were held until he left office. Clinton DID break the law, he copped a plea as he was leaving office. Trump hasn't left office and the SC investigation did not charge him with a crime anyway, there is no waiting indictment. Show me the crime the investigation found and where is the charge? And even if he did shouldn't it be handled the same way as with Clinton?
